About KGOLD

Launched in 2026 by Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset (KDA), headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, KGLD is a Real World Asset (RWA) token issued on the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 standard). Each KGLD token is pegged 1:1 to 1 troy ounce of 99.99% pure physical gold, certified under ISO 9001 quality standards by Korea Gold Exchange. Physical gold reserves are stored in the secured vault of Korea Gold Exchange in Seoul, held separately from the issuer's own assets to ensure bankruptcy remoteness for token holders. A Proof of Reserve (PoR) system verifies the 1:1 correspondence between on-chain token supply and off-chain physical gold holdings in real time, with periodic third-party audits conducted by external auditors. KGLD operates a Mint/Issue separation structure. Tokens are minted only after physical gold is confirmed in the vault, and enter circulating supply only upon issuance to a user's verified wallet following KYC/AML approval. Token holders may redeem KGLD for physical gold at designated Korea Gold Exchange branches, with a minimum redemption unit of 100g gold bar. KGLD is a non-yielding asset and does not confer equity rights, dividends, interest, or voting rights. For multi-chain expansion, KGLD adopts the LayerZero OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard. Smart contracts are audited by CertiK and governed by Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with multi-signature approval. Key partners include Korea Gold Exchange (custody and distribution), Creder (smart contract development), and CertiK (security audit).
