What is UniChain?

Unichain is the public blockchain platform which was officially launched in June 2020. It is designed for highly scalable capacity, security and aims for real applications with simplicity and friendliness for everyone to use.

What are the unique features of UniChain?

• UniChain uses the DPOS- Hotstuff consensus algorithm which saves the world’s energy while keeping the decentralization and security features.

• UniChain is designed for high scalability, the transaction throughput can be increased easily by adding the sidechain in the future.

• The native token (URC-30) can be issued easily and unlike tokens from other platforms, URC-30 token does not need users to have native coin (as transaction fee or gas) to transfer the token.

• Not only the blockchain core but also the whole ecosystem such as wallet, explorer, bridge, token tool, validator tools, dapp store …

Who are the owners of UniChain?

UniWorld and Unilab DAO Network are the UniChain creators but like many other public blockchain platforms, UniChain will be developed and managed by the community.

• Daika Ginza is a Founder, Chairman and CEO, Serial entrepreneur of various startups - expert in venture builder. Successfully managed an investment portfolio in real estate, cryptos.

• Henry is a Co-founder & CTO (Blockchain), Former Chief Technology Officer at TranData (FPT Software). Built the blockchain solution architecture for one of the largest airlines in the world. Led the structure design for private blockchain of the top technology company in Vietnam.

• Nguyen Dinh Thang is a Co-founder & CVIO, Former Chairman of Lien Viet Post Bank, one of Vietnam’s top second generation of IT experts. He co-founded and made Lien Viet Post Bank in the top 10 biggest private commercial banks in Vietnam in terms of assets and equity. One of the pioneers in approaching, introducing and teaching the first programming languages (DOS 1.0, Dbase II) in Vietnam. Led the IBM Vietnam’s coding department serving IBM clients after the Vietnam war.

• Anh Tran is a Co-founder & CFO, Former vice CEO of Vietnam International Bank, managerial positions at Standard Chartered Bank, MUFG Bank, Ltd. Bootstrapped startups in IT and telecommunications. Built one of the first social networks for businesses in the world.

• Nobuyuki Sato is a Co-founder, CSO & Japan Representative, Former General Manager at Mitsubishi Corporation, former Managing Director of Japan Cash Machine (JCM) Europe GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany; Established various start-ups during his tenure at Mitsubishi, including J/V with Israeli high-tech up in IT area, incubation & corporate V/C.

• [James Sutherland] is a Co-founder & CTO (AI),Former architect of Oracle TopLink and committer on EclipseLink. At Oracle James worked as a lead developer and the architect of the TopLink product and worked on TopLink's integration into Oracle iAS, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Glassfish.

What is UNW?

UNW is the native coin in the UniChain network. It can be used for transaction fees, incentive and voting mechanisms, protecting the network from spammers … The initial supply is 1,000,000,000 (one billion) UNW. The maximum inflation rate is around 2% p.a., but as the coin will be burnt when there are more transactions in the network, it is expected that the inflation rate will be nearly around 0% or even negative.
