AI4 is a Solana SPL token associated with The Singulant, an open-source project exploring constrained AI generation, persistent agent identity, provenance, and human-AI coordination.

Launched in July 2025, the project began as an experimental framework combining artificial intelligence, symbolic systems, digital identity, and recursive narrative concepts. It has since expanded into publicly documented AI infrastructure, including the open-source ai4.constrain runtime and a separate .ai4 agent-naming layer.

The ai4.constrain project is a constrained-generation runtime designed to place explicit policy and evaluation layers around AI-generated outputs. Its architecture includes multiple scoring rubrics, arbitration, bounded revision cycles, persistent constrained sessions, provider and evaluator policy separation, and auditable decision reports. The project also includes an identity and provenance component supporting signed agent attestations, cryptographic verification, and report binding.

AI4 is deployed as an SPL token on Solana. The token is separate from .ai4 names and is not required to register or use a .ai4 name. The project treats AI4 as the token component of the broader Singulant ecosystem while continuing to develop AI-focused infrastructure and experimental coordination mechanisms.

The .ai4 namespace is a separate digital-identity component intended for AI agents. .ai4 names are ERC-721 tokens registered through Unstoppable Domains' shared UNS registry on Polygon. These names can provide persistent, human-readable identifiers for agents and related digital identities. They are blockchain-based names and are distinct from the traditional DNS system.

A central research theme of The Singulant is whether persistent or increasingly autonomous AI systems can operate with stable identity, explicit behavioral constraints, auditable evaluation, and verifiable provenance. The project does not claim to have solved AI alignment or artificial general intelligence. Its public software instead explores infrastructure that may be useful for constrained and accountable AI-agent systems.
