Quantus is quantum secure encrypted money. It's a proof-of-work layer 1 for storing and transferring value. The network is built using post-quantum cryptography: ML-DSA (Dilithium) signatures for transactions and ML-KEM (Kyber) for encrypted peer-to-peer networking.
QTC has a fixed maximum supply of 21,000,000. Emission follows a smooth exponential decay, with roughly half of the supply in circulation around year eight. Transaction fees are partly burned and there is no developer tax on block rewards.
The network is built on Substrate, and consensus is proof of work using the Poseidon2 hash function (QPoW) with 12-second blocks.
Quantus has two address types. Transparent addresses and encrypted addresses.
Encrypted address funds leave only through a zero-knowledge proof that credits a new exit address, which breaks the link between sender and receiver. Proofs use Plonky2 with FRI commitments and Poseidon2 hashing, which rely on hash functions rather than elliptic curves and need no trusted setup. The two layer ZK wormhole and aggregation system enable a post-quantum TPS (QTPS) of 430 transactions per second.
