PolyFlow is a PayFi infrastructure protocol designed to connect real-world payment activity with blockchain-based identity, settlement, liquidity and financial applications. It is developed by a globally distributed team with experience in cross-border payments, financial services, blockchain infrastructure and digital identity. The protocol serves payment service providers, merchants, financial applications and users seeking to conduct or build services around on-chain payments. PolyFlow uses a modular architecture that separates payment information flow from fund flow. Its two principal protocol components are Payment ID (PID) and the PolyFlow Liquidity Pool (PLP). This separation is intended to allow applications to integrate identity verification, payment records and settlement functions without relying on a single centralized system to manage every part of a transaction. Payment ID is PolyFlow’s identity and information layer. A PID can connect blockchain addresses with verifiable credentials, compliance status and authorized payment data. The system uses decentralized identity standards, verifiable credentials, attestations and zero-knowledge proof technology to let applications verify specific information without requiring users to disclose all underlying personal data. Depending on the integration, PID can support KYC or KYB verification, payment histories, loyalty records, on-chain credit profiles and access requirements for financial services. PolyFlow documentation lists PID support across Ethereum, Tron, Scroll, Polygon, X Layer, Berachain, BEVM, Bitlayer, Kroma and Base. PLP is the protocol’s fund-flow and settlement layer. It uses smart contracts to create payment addresses, collect transaction funds, aggregate balances and process merchant settlement or redemption. When supported settlement assets are collected, the protocol can mint corresponding pfTokens, such as pfUSDT or pfUSDC. These assets are designed to represent supported settlement assets within the protocol and may be used for settlement, redemption and liquidity operations. Payment-related fees can be allocated among liquidity providers, protocol participants and the PolyFlow treasury according to protocol parameters. PolyFlow also develops consumer and merchant applications built around this infrastructure. Pelago Connect is a PLP-powered payment gateway designed to help merchants accept digital assets across supported networks. The PolyFlow Crypto Card connects digital-asset balances with card payments and supports integrations with services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, subject to regional eligibility and KYC requirements. The PolyFlow DApp allows users to create PIDs, connect accounts, submit payment-related credentials and participate in campaigns such as Scan to Earn and Mint to Earn. $PID is the governance and ecosystem token described in PolyFlow’s tokenomics. It is intended to coordinate incentives across crypto payments, card funding, payment settlement, credential creation and on-chain credit activity. The token may also be used for governance decisions, staking incentives and ecosystem rewards. $PID is distinct from pfTokens, which are settlement-specific protocol assets linked to supported underlying assets. PolyFlow reports that its Scan to Earn campaign attracted more than one million participants and generated tens of millions of scans across real-world payment scenarios. The project also reports more than US$200 million in transaction volume within one year. Its disclosed early backers include CE Innovation Capitals, Hash Global, Stellar Foundation and Community Fund, ZC Capitals and Meters Network, which collectively provided more than US$5 million in early-stage support. PolyFlow also reports ecosystem collaboration with organizations including Stellar and Ripple.
