What Is ESGIN Token (ESGIN)?
ESGIN Token (ESGIN) is an ERC-20 utility token on Ethereum associated with the ESG-IN environmental data ecosystem. The project is operated by PT ESGIN Global Partners, a company established in Indonesia in February 2026. ESG-IN connects environmental activity records, community recycling networks, and planned environmental data verification infrastructure. Its longer-term development objectives include measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems and data applications relevant to environmental credit markets.
What Is the ESG-IN Platform?
ESG-IN is an operating digital platform that allows participants to submit records of activities such as recycling and waste collection. Submissions may include photographs and other supporting information. The platform has supported environmental participation programs in Indonesia and Cambodia.
The project's ESG Bank model involves cooperation with local waste collection and recycling organizations. Its purpose is to connect community-level environmental activities with structured records that can be used for monitoring and reporting. The whitepaper describes a wider network model involving recycling facilities, community operators, and regional partners; the full network described in that model is not yet deployed.
What Makes ESGIN Different?
ESGIN's development approach combines an existing environmental participation platform with proposed data processing, verification, and blockchain components. The project is developing MRV capabilities intended to organize environmental records and support the traceability of project information.
Its whitepaper also describes an artificial intelligence verification engine designed to classify submitted activities and detect duplicate or potentially invalid submissions. This engine is a planned component and is not currently operational. Recording an activity or transaction does not, by itself, establish that an environmental claim has been independently verified.
How Does ESGIN Relate to Carbon Credits?
The project aims to support environmental credit development through improved data collection and reporting. Its whitepaper discusses plastic recycling credits and the potential use of environmental activity datasets in carbon credit methodologies. Integration with external environmental credit registries is described as a future possibility. Issuance of certified credits would require the applicable methodology, evidence, and verification processes. ESGIN tokens do not themselves represent ownership of verified carbon credits.
What Is ESGIN Used For?
ESGIN is intended to provide a blockchain-based asset layer alongside ESG-IN's off-chain activity points. The whitepaper describes a two-layer economic model in which activity rewards are managed through points, while token-based mechanisms are intended to support ecosystem participation and value exchange. Proposed uses include point conversion and settlement options for ESG Bank operators. These proposed integrations should not be interpreted as fully implemented features.
How Many ESGIN Tokens Exist?
The total supply is 1,000,000,000 ESGIN. The whitepaper allocates 45% to rewards, 15% to ESG Bank operators, 15% to the team, 15% to liquidity, and 10% to investment. It describes vesting schedules for these allocations, including distribution of the Reward and ESG Bank pools over 60 months.
How Is ESGIN Secured?
ESGIN was deployed as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum in March 2026. Ethereum provides the underlying transaction execution and settlement infrastructure. Environmental data validation and the project's planned MRV processes are separate from Ethereum's consensus mechanism.
