Luckycoin ($LKY) is a cryptocurrency that launched in May 2013, by an anonymous developer called LuckyC.

In August 2024 a backup of the Luckycoin blockchain from 2013 was discovered and the chain was revived from block 81,743, thus enshrining as much of the history of Luckycoin as possible in the current actively mined chain.

Luckycoin was among some of the earliest cryptocurrencies ever launched and after its revival in 2024 is now one of the oldest actively mined cryptocurrencies in existence.

Luckycoin could be considered the oldest active 'memecoin' in existence at the time of writing. Although the concept of memecoin hadn't taken hold back in May of 2013 it's clear that Luckycoin offers no utility and instead was described by LuckyC as 'Fast, Fun & Fair' with a playful introduction on the Bitcoin Talk forums.

Launched in March 2019, the Theta mainnet operates as a decentralized network in which users share bandwidth and computing resources on a peer-to-peer (P2P) basis. The project is advised by Steve Chen, co-founder of YouTube and Justin Kan, co-founder of Twitch.

Theta features its own native cryptocurrency token, THETA, which performs various governance tasks within the network, and counts Google, Binance, Blockchain ventures, Gumi, Sony Europe and Samsung as Enterprise validators, along with a Guardian network of thousands of community-run guardian nodes.

Opium is a new platform for launching and trading cryptocurrency derivatives.

XTN is an algorithmic crypto-collateralized indexcoin backed by three Waves Ecosystem tokens: WAVES, WX and VIRES. XTN's main function is to encourage user participation in the Neutrino by rewarding those who provide liquidity to the system.

The platform’s other token, NSBT (Neutrino System Base Token), is used for governance purposes: it allows users to make decisions about the future development of the Neutrino protocol, and it ensures the stability of collateral reserves on Neutrino’s smart contract.
