Scroll employs a multifaceted approach to ensure its security, leveraging the robustness of battle-tested cryptographic libraries and the principles of open-source development. This approach is designed to maintain the integrity and safety of its zkEVM-based zkRollup on Ethereum, which is crafted to offer native compatibility for existing Ethereum applications and tools.

The foundation of Scroll's security strategy is its reliance on cryptographic libraries that have been thoroughly vetted and proven to be secure through extensive use and testing. This choice ensures that the core cryptographic components of the platform are resilient against known vulnerabilities.

Further enhancing its security posture, Scroll is committed to continuous improvement and rigorous testing of its codebase. This includes comprehensive code reviews and testing processes that aim to identify and rectify potential security issues before they can be exploited.

Independent audits play a crucial role in Scroll's security framework. By inviting reputable third-party auditors to examine its code and infrastructure, Scroll gains valuable insights into its security strengths and weaknesses, allowing for the implementation of recommended improvements.

The platform also fosters a collaborative security environment through its bug bounty program hosted on a dedicated platform. This program encourages security researchers and ethical hackers to identify and report vulnerabilities in exchange for rewards, thereby contributing to the overall security of the ecosystem.

Scroll's commitment to security is further evidenced by its establishment of a security council and the invitation to independent parties to operate follower nodes. These measures not only enhance the decentralization of the network but also introduce additional layers of oversight and resilience.

Collaboration with the community and the implementation of various sequencers are additional pillars of Scroll's security strategy. By engaging with the wider community and leveraging collective expertise, Scroll ensures that its security measures are robust and effective.

In summary, Scroll's security is achieved through a comprehensive and proactive approach that includes the use of proven cryptographic libraries, continuous improvement, independent audits, community collaboration, and a bug bounty program. This multifaceted strategy ensures the platform remains secure and trustworthy for its users.

Theta (THETA) is a blockchain powered network purpose-built for video streaming. Launched in March 2019, the Theta mainnet operates as a decentralized network in which users share bandwidth and computing resources on a peer-to-peer (P2P) basis. The project is advised by Steve Chen, co-founder of YouTube and Justin Kan, co-founder of Twitch.

Theta features its own native cryptocurrency token, THETA, which performs various governance tasks within the network, and counts Google, Binance, Blockchain ventures, Gumi, Sony Europe and Samsung as Enterprise validators, along with a Guardian network of thousands of community-run guardian nodes.

Developers say that the project aims to shake up the video streaming industry in its current form — centralization, poor infrastructure and high costs mean that end users often end up with a poor experience. Content creators likewise earn less revenue due to the barriers between them and end users.

The Theta team has created a customer-centric business plan for their growing ecosystem of services focused on esports, music, TV, movies, and education. The list of Theta Network partners includes video platforms like Samsung VR, Cinedigm, Shout! Factory, Pandora.tv, Play Labs, and THETA.tv.
