As of October 18, 2026, <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/injective-news-inj-etf-pentiv-1b-mortgages-onchain" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Injective news today</a> covers two claims from the network itself: an earnings lead over major chains and a jump in tokenized trading.&nbsp;
Among <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-october-17-bitcoin-eth-fell-us-inflation-fed-rates" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news today</a>, few updates pair a valuation argument with fresh usage numbers.
Perthe <a href="https://x.com/injective/status/2111611915147346005" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">network’s official X post</a>, RWA perpetuals have crossed $1.1 billion in volume this year.<img alt="Injective official tweet" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/HKCb7lrdGUaxKK9gmJfwge4KPSGR2Pb9oOpels19.png" width="300" height="382" title="Injective official tweet">

Injective news today rests on two posts from October 18, 2026:
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">00:14 UTC, official post: perpetual volume passed $1.1 billion year to date, with $230M+ over the past month.</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">03:06 UTC, WSX: the network says it leads major blockchains in 2026 earnings relative to FDV, and funds monthly buybacks.</li>
</ul>
Both figures are the network’s own claims, not third-party audits.

The post gives no dollar figure for Injective protocol revenue, so the ratio works only as a relative yardstick.

The Injective RWA perpetuals $1.1 billion volume figure is the network’s own number. <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/rwa-blockchain-explained" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Real-world assets</a> (RWA) trade through RWA perpetual futures, which give traders price exposure without holding the asset.

Pre-IPO perpetuals onchain follow private company valuations. Readers seeking tokenized stocks onchain should note that this onchain derivatives trading involves contracts, not shares.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-much-has-injective-burned-this-year-span-span">How Much Has Injective Burned This Year?</h2>
WSX names no 2026 total. Per<a href="https://injective.com/blog/2026-injective-community-buy-back-guide" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the official buyback guide</a>, an earlier burn auction removed 6.78 million tokens before the monthly rounds began.
The INJ monthly buyback and burn explained simply: holders commit tokens, those tokens are burned, and participants share ecosystem income.&nbsp;
This INJ buyback burn design is a token buyback and burn route to permanent supply reduction.

Analysts following <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news</a> may read this injective latest update as a case for usage-backed valuation, though a ratio is not a price forecast.&nbsp;
Injective news today could turn on whether the claims hold up, and INJ news today may center on the next buyback round.
Price impact remains uncertain.
