XRP attracted more than $184 million in speculative buying on Binance after its price dropped below $1.30, according to analyst Darkfost. The inflows followed a correction of up to 22.5% from its September 23 high of $1.65. XRP later rebounded 5%, although its four-hour chart continued to show bearish momentum.

Binance Records $184M in XRP Buying Activity

Darkfost reported a sharp increase in Taker Buy Volume, which measures market buy orders on derivatives markets. In one hour, Binance recorded more than $73 million in XRP buy volume, compared with $1 million on Bybit and $451,000 on OKX.

Several other hours that day also recorded Binance buy volumes exceeding $35 million. Together, these purchases brought the total inflow above $184 million as traders positioned against the prevailing decline.

The correction followed disappointing consumer price index figures, producer price index data, and a lower opening in U.S. markets. XRP had fallen as much as 22.5% from its September 23 peak before recovering 5%. However, Darkfost described the inflows as speculative, short-term capital that could increase price volatility.

XRP Holds Near $1.29 as Selling Pressure Persists

On Binance's four-hour chart, XRP traded at $1.2929, down 0.83% on the latest candle. The candle opened at $1.3037, reached $1.3042, and fell to $1.2919. Trading volume stood at 5.47 million XRP.

After reaching approximately $1.62 around September 22–23, XRP formed successive lower highs and lower lows. Selling accelerated around October 7, pushing the price below $1.45, then $1.40 and $1.35. The token has since consolidated near $1.29.

RSI and MACD Show Limited Signs of Recovery

XRP's immediate support is between $1.29 and $1.30. A breakdown could expose $1.25, while recovery above 1.32–1.35 could bring resistance at 1.38–1.40 into focus. Reclaiming $1.40 would provide a stronger recovery signal.

The Relative Strength Index stands at 37.98, below its 39.68 average and approaching the conventional oversold threshold of 30. Meanwhile, the MACD line is at -0.0170, slightly above the -0.0172 signal line. Its histogram is marginally positive at 0.0002, although both lines remain below zero.
