Infinex has integrated NEAR Chain Signatures and NEAR Intents, expanding the platform’s cross-chain access to assets including Bitcoin, Dogecoin and XRP without forcing users to manually manage separate bridges and wallets.
The integration gives Infinex access to NEAR’s chain-abstraction infrastructure, which allows applications to interact with assets across multiple blockchains from a single interface. NEAR says Chain Signatures use a multi-party computation network secured by NEAR validators to authorize transactions on external chains.
That means users can access assets that do not natively live on the same chain while keeping the underlying execution largely hidden from the user.BTC, DOGE and XRP Can Move Across More Chains
NEAR Intents currently connects 31 chains and more than 100 assets, with cross-chain settlement typically taking around 30 seconds, according to the protocol’s own documentation.
The system uses solvers to compete for and route user requests across networks. Instead of asking users to pick a bridge, source chain and execution path manually, they specify the result they want and the protocol handles the route.
NEAR’s bridging documentation specifically lists examples such as BTC to TON, XRP to Arbitrum and DOGE to Base, showing how assets from non-EVM networks can be brought into other ecosystems through one routing layer.
That makes the Infinex integration less about adding another bridge and more about making assets such as <a href="https://coincodex.com/crypto/bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BTC</a>, <a href="https://coincodex.com/crypto/dogecoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DOGE</a> and <a href="https://coincodex.com/crypto/ripple/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP</a> usable across a wider range of onchain applications.NEAR Is Positioning Itself as Cross-Chain Infrastructure
The bigger story is NEAR’s push to become an execution layer rather than simply another Layer 1.
Its Intents network now reports more than $30 billion in all-time volume across 35 chains, while the protocol describes itself as a universal liquidity layer for wallets, DeFi apps and AI agents.
The model also fits the broader shift toward <a href="https://coinpaper.com/32146/hackers-steal-467-million-from-secret-network-in-bridge-exploit" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cross-chain infrastructure</a> that reduces users’ dependence on traditional bridge workflows.
