XDC Network (formerly known as XinFin Network) is a hybrid (public / private) blockchain platform that combines the transparency of public blockchains with the speed and security of private networks. The protocol’s open-source software uses a delegated-Proof-of-Stake (XDPoS) consensus mechanism, which facilitates fast transactions, interoperability, and cybersecurity. FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO) is a fan token on the BEP-20 network. As a Binance fan token utility token, PORTO is designed to reward fans of FC Porto, a well-known football team that competes in the Portuguese Premier League.

FC Porto was founded in 1893 and is the second richest football team in Portugal, known for its huge fan base. The PORTO token launched on Nov. 6, 2021. By holding the PORTO token, fans can gain exposure to the football club’s activities by voting on decisions and gaining access to exclusive discounts and club rewards. The PORTO token also allows holders to collect rare non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and unlock fan badges through their engagement with the token.

Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS) is a fan token of the eponymous football team that was launched by a partnership between Santos FC and Binance Launchpool. Santos FC, aka Santos Futebol Clube, is a Brazilian sports club in the state of São Paulo, based in Vila Belmiro.

The pandemic hit football clubs hard, and as a result, the concept of a fan token was born. The fans were delighted, then the investors picked up the enthusiasm.

The collaboration between Binance and Santos FC was confirmed in November 2021 with an official statement published on the football club’s social network pages. The agreement of the two parties layed out the conditions to the launch the fan token. Binance acquired the status of sponsor and licensee, earning the right to operate NFTs products. The goal of this alliance is to increase fan engagement, build relationships between the club and fans, and attract the attention of Binance customers.

$SANTOS owners receive a number of benefits: participation in the life of the club and the right to vote in polls. Moreover $SANTOS token holders can gain access to exclusive rewards, privileges, limited & collectible NFTs and to the gamification process.

SANTOS was available via Binance Launchpad from November 27, 2021 to December 28, 2021.

Lazio Fan Token (LAZIO) is a fan token by Binance — the world’s biggest and most popular cryptocurrency exchange. Binance is leveraging the popularity of fan tokens, which give their holders ownership of the club’s governance and allow them to affect decisions, access exclusive promotions, unlock VIP rewards and gain special recognition by the club. Following the success of other fan tokens, Binance struck a deal with SS Lazio worth over 30 million euros lasting over two years, with the option to extend it for a third year. The president of Lazio expressed his satisfaction with the following statement:

“We are very satisfied with this new international collaboration. Our partnership with Binance will allow us to extend our digital presence and connect with our fans and followers from all over the world like never before.”

Strike is a DeFi lending protocol that allows users to earn interest on their cryptocurrencies by depositing them into one of several markets supported by the platform.

When a user deposits tokens to a Strike market, they receive sTokens in return. These sTokens represent the individual’s stake in the pool and can be used to redeem the underlying cryptocurrency initially deposited into the pool at any time. For example, by depositing ETH into a pool, you will receive sETH in return. Over time, the exchange rate of these sTokens to the underlying asset increases, which means you can redeem them for more of the underlying asset than you initially put in — this is how the interest is distributed.

On the flip side, borrowers can take a secured loan from any Strike pool by depositing collateral. The maximum loan-to-value (LTV) ratio varies based on the collateral asset, but currently ranges from 50 to 80%. The interest rate paid varies by borrowed asset and borrowers can face automatic liquidation if their collateral falls below a specific maintenance threshold.
