• Why is the GIL token important to the Ecosystem? While most DeFi projects consider their tokens as incentives for investors to use the platform and rarely have the intention to buy back or reduce the number of tokens in circulation on the market, we see GIL as a valuable asset that can be used directly on the products within the Global Interlink ecosystem and its partners. Our goal is to create an uninterrupted life cycle for GIL, ensuring that users always have reasons and purposes to buy GIL back after they have sold them.

To achieve that, we focus on building applications that enhance the usefulness of the GIL token, ensuring that its features are plentiful, diverse, and beneficial to various user groups.

Firstly, GIL will still be used as one of the incentives to encourage users to participate in liquidity provision and betting on the platform's DAO.

Next, besides using the network's native token SUI to participate in the launchpad, users can also use GIL to purchase new tokens listed on our platform and receive benefits from the business operations.

Users can also use GIL to trade and buy/sell/auction NFTs on the Sayaka Marketplace, use GIL to pay for collection creation fees and listing fees for those collections.

All products in the Global Interlink Network ecosystem provide users with multiple gas fee payment options through GIL tokens instead of paying with SUI, which allows our users to comfortably use our products without having to hold SUI in their wallets.

Finally, GIL will be used as an intermediary for Omni-chain transactions through the mechanism of using OFTs for a 1:1 exchange between supported ecosystem networks to execute cross-chain token transactions without causing users any discomfort or requiring them to perform too many operations, with reasonable fees that all users can accept.

Over time, as the number of supported networks in the ecosystem grows, we will build our own relayers and allow staking GIL tokens for participation in the approval process of verifying cross-chain transactions in the ecosystem to enhance security and decentralization.
