Fresh numbers show <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/what-is-rlusd-ripple-stablecoin-guide-market-cap" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ripple’s token</a> attracting new money at a time when several bigger coins are seeing money leave.&nbsp;
This <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/xrp-news-today-etf-inflows-stablecoin-rules-ripple" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP news today</a> update covers the latest fund flows, the debate around a long-term $28 price target, and how the price moved over the last 24 hours. Everything is explained in simple words.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-us-spot-funds-record-4-25m-in-net-inflows-span-span">US Spot Funds Record $4.25M in Net Inflows</h3>
A&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/BankXRP/status/2114133378987676114" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">post by BankXRP on X</a> says US spot XRP ETFs recorded roughly $4.25M in net inflows this week.&nbsp;
<img alt="Information by BankXRP post" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/xz8t1HIDe0ZkAtN3Vb1nD9ICEbTQZu8t7NMVIE11.png" width="300" style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; margin-top: 10px" height="383">
“Net inflow” simply means more money came into the funds than went out.&nbsp;
The same post puts the total net assets of these products near $1.49B.
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Weekly flow: about +$4.25M</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Total net assets: near $1.49B</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Fund type: spot funds, which are built to follow the real price of the token</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-the-streak-ended-and-restarted-span-span">How the Streak Ended and Restarted</h3>
The same post says this rebound follows a $1.84M outflow. That outflow had ended a 13-week inflow streak. In plain terms, the funds attracted new money for 13 weeks in a row, lost a small amount in one week, and are now gaining again.
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">13 weeks: the length of the earlier inflow streak</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">$1.84M: the outflow that broke it</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">$4.25M: this week’s inflow, more than double that outflow</li>
</ul>
The outflow was small next to total assets of about $1.49B, so it looks more like a short pause than a major change.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-a-different-direction-from-bitcoin-ethereum-and-solana-span-span">A Different Direction From Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana</h3>
What makes the number stand out is what happened elsewhere. <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-etf-news-today-bitcoin-outflows-eth-xrp-sol" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Spot fund flows for Bitcoin</a>, Ethereum and Solana were negative this week, while XRP attracted fresh capital.&nbsp;

This XRP news today is notable because money moved in opposite directions across the major coins.

For wider context, a SoSoValue chart covering 12 assets shows the combined total recovering to roughly the $120B to $130B zone in recent weeks. That is still well below the peak near $200B around late August 2025.

<a href="https://x.com/BankXRP/status/2114063506433835040" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Another BankXRP post</a> asks what would have to happen for Standard Chartered’s $28 XRP price target by 2030 to play out.&nbsp;
<img alt="BankXRP post on X" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/XMoUOzKsOr5gUpqzdpF31yDJNXpopR9HxkqYWtVB.png" width="300" style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; margin-top: 10px" height="343">
The post is a question and does not explain the bank’s reasoning. We have not checked the target with Standard Chartered directly, so treat it as the post’s reference.
A little simple math shows how big the jump would be. These figures use the price and supply data in the next section.
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Price change: from $1.30 to $28 is about 21.5 times higher.</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Market value: at 63.35B tokens in circulation, $28 would mean a market cap of about $1.77 trillion, compared with $82.83B today.</li>
</ul>
People who discuss such targets usually point to things like these:
<ul>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Steady fund demand: more weeks of inflows like this one.</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Clearer rules: the US moved a step forward when the OCC finalized its stablecoin rules, which take effect on 18 January 2027, according to the<a href="https://www.occ.gov/news-issuances/news-releases/2026/nr-occ-2026-92.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">OCC news release</a>.</li>
 <li style="margin-left: 0px; list-style-type: disc">Wider real-world use: more companies and payment firms using the token.</li>
</ul>
These are general talking points, not a forecast.

It drifted lower through the afternoon and evening, with the day’s low near $1.26 around 9 PM. Buyers then returned.&nbsp;
The price climbed back past $1.29 around midnight, pushed above $1.30 in the early morning, and peaked near $1.31 before settling at $1.30.&nbsp;
Trading volume rose 7.1%, so more people were active than the day before. The token also holds the number five spot by market size.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h3>
US spot funds took in about $4.25M this week and ended the 13-week streak’s brief break, even as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana funds saw exits.&nbsp;
The talk of a $28 target by 2030 would need a roughly 21.5 times price rise from today’s $1.30.&nbsp;
The price itself is up 1.57% after recovering from an evening dip. For anyone following XRP news today, the weekly fund flow numbers are the next thing to watch.
