Throughout the previous week, digital asset enterprise BitMine Immersion (BMNR) accumulated 27,180 ETH tokens. This strategic purchase elevates the firm’s aggregate holdings to 5.95 million ETH, representing approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply of 122 million tokens.

Additionally, BitMine has committed 5.067 million ETH to staking operations via its Made in America Validator Network (MAVN) infrastructure. According to company projections, this staking deployment is anticipated to generate approximately $334 million in annualized revenue streams.

Meanwhile, cryptocurrency mining hardware manufacturer Canaan pursued a contrasting strategy. The company liquidated its complete holdings of 3,952 ETH alongside 54 BTC for a combined $13.9 million. Canaan executed the ETH sale at an average price point of $2,400 per token, subsequently deploying proceeds to repurchase 13.6 million American Depositary Shares.

Market intelligence platform Santiment Intelligence identified a significant transformation in exchange supply dynamics. Analysis reveals that ETH reserves on trading platforms have contracted to 6.06 million tokens, marking a substantial decline from the June 2020 peak of 22.9 million—representing a 73% reduction. Santiment emphasized that diminished exchange inventory translates to reduced liquidity near order books, potentially magnifying price volatility during periods of heightened buying activity.

BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee observed that the ETH/BTC trading ratio has climbed to its strongest position since January 30, characterizing this movement as an emerging upward trend. Lee connected this development to Ethereum’s expanding influence in Wall Street tokenization initiatives and agentic artificial intelligence applications.

However, Bitfinex market analysts present an alternative interpretation. Their assessment suggests substantial ETH ETF demand originates from “cash and carry” trading strategies, where market participants utilize ETH ETF holdings as collateral for CME futures trading while simultaneously capturing yield opportunities. They reference a $255 million ETH short squeeze occurring last Friday as supporting evidence that recent price movements reflect strategic positioning rather than genuine spot market demand.

Market analyst Ted Pillows highlighted through social media channels that ETH was unable to secure a weekly close above the $2,550 threshold. His analysis indicates that successful passage of the Clarity Act this week could enable ETH to recapture the $2,550 level, potentially establishing a trajectory toward the $3,000 milestone.

Clarity Act voting will happen this week, and if it passes, I think Ethereum will reclaim the $2,550 level.

Once that happens, the pump to $3,000 could occur soon. pic.twitter.com/DQ2psv3Qxb

A procedural legislative vote concerning the Clarity Act is scheduled for Tuesday. This proposed legislation has potential to facilitate expanded stablecoin integration and decentralized finance adoption throughout the United States. Prediction market platform Polymarket indicates that odds for the bill’s passage during 2026 have increased from 14% to 31%.

The Federal Open Market Committee convenes this week as well. Approximately 87% of market analysts anticipate a 25 basis point interest rate increase. Federal Reserve guidance regarding future monetary policy adjustments will attract significant market attention.

From an on-chain perspective, Ethereum’s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Ratio currently registers at -5%. Historical patterns demonstrate that when this indicator transitions above zero following bear market conditions, it has frequently signaled the commencement of bullish market cycles.

Technical chart analysis on the daily timeframe shows ETH challenging resistance positioned at $2,544. The Relative Strength Index reads 63, while the 50-day and 200-day exponential moving averages are converging toward a golden cross pattern. Subsequent resistance barriers are located at $2,626 and $2,786.
