Om D5 Exchange

D5 Exchange is the first fully on-chain order book exchange developed on the Gridex trading protocol, designed to provide counterparties with the best trading strategies possible.

In addition to meeting most of your trading needs, D5 Exchange also upgrades users' trading experience in 5 main areas listed below:

  1. Permissionless listing & Incentivized orders D5 Exchange rewards Makers with trading fees based on different grid models. A trading contest will launch with the official product to encourage more orders. Based on its decentralized nature, users can create trading pairs themselves. In 3 steps, any token you want can instantly appear in the asset list of D5 Exchange, waiting to trade. *Please note: you can revoke orders at any time before the transaction is complete; All interactions require Gas fees.

  2. Provide the best rate from multiple liquidities Unlike traditional centralized exchanges, D5 Exchange provides its liquidity from Uniswap V2, V3, and Curve as external liquidities, and Makers' trading demand as internal liquidity. Even without external market makers, D5 Exchange can meet most of your trading exchange needs while offering you the best exchange rates.

  3. A fully decentralized exchange to know where your asset is Unlike matching engines implemented through ZK-rollups and on-chain settlement through smart contracts that host user assets while maintaining the order book, D5 Exchange is a fully decentralized on-chain order book exchange. It means no risk of centralization and no limitation of the cross-protocol liquidity interaction. And any interaction with your assets will require your authorization. D5 Exchange now supports Arbitrum One, and will deploy on Ethereum, Optimism and Polygon.

  4. No impermanent loss & no slippage D5 Exchange uses an order book mechanism that does not have the 'impermanent loss' and 'slippage'. You can decide on an order size depending on the number of trades and the type of currency. It's normal to see both buy and sell orders above and below the market price. Traders don't have to worry about the losses that may occur during large trades.

  5. Low cost & high order fill rate Grid Maker Order Book (GMOB) and Grid Price Linear Movement (GPLM) are the core innovations of D5 Exchange.

GMOB: Grid Maker Order Book (GMOB) provides as much as three types of grids and Maker modes. So Maker can customize their trading strategies like price range and order numbers without limitation whether they are trading bitcoin or other altcoins.

GPLM: Grid Price Linear Movement (GPLM) algorithm replaces the centralized exchange's order book based CLOB model (known as aggregation engine) to handle trade execution and settlement, saving a significant amount of Gas consumption. The main goal is to effectively reduce D5 Exchange Gas consumption to the same level as the Constant Function Market Maker (CFMM) algorithm costs.

Last but not the least, after what happened with FTX, D5 Exchange team is more determined to develop a fully decentralized exchange that avoids all the risks that centralization can bring while building the best of all the excellent product experiences that centralized products exhibit.
