SeedCoin (SEED) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2022 to combine concern for the environment with blockchain and digital asset technology. Users are able to generate SEED through the process of mining.

SeedCoin supports environmentally focused projects such as WoodlandEco (https://woodlandeco.com), a global charitable program to reduce greenhouse gasses such as CO2 on our planet. SeedCoin’s supported project Woodland takes an integrated approach to solving such global problems: planting trees and using SeedCoin to compensate individuals who are responsible for those trees. This way, SeedCoin supports Woodland's network members to stay deeply engaged with greenhouse gas reduction.

SeedCoin is used to remit payments to Woodland network members for their efforts.
