Major cryptocurrencies are facing renewed selling pressure as market sentiment continues to deteriorate. Popular tokens such as XRP, Near Protocol (NEAR), Zcash (ZEC), and Cardano (ADA) are all trading near their critical support levels after sharp declines from recent highs.

XRP: Bears dominate as correction extends

XRP, the token associated with Ripple Labs, is locked in a prolonged downward trend. Prices are hovering near $1.28, marking a notable drop from September’s local peak of approximately $1.65. After a robust recovery in the late summer months, XRP has struggled to keep upward momentum as sellers remain firmly in control.

The daily chart continues to display a clear pattern of lower highs and lower lows, with XRP trading below major moving averages. This technical posture underscores persistent bearish sentiment and indicates that any attempts at a recovery may encounter considerable resistance.

Immediate support is found between $1.24 and $1.25, where buyers have recently attempted to stabilize the price. A decisive move below this zone could lead to a slide toward $1.20, followed by a further decline to the key psychological level at $1.15.

On the upside, resistance exists between $1.30 and $1.33. A breakout above this range would be the first sign of potential short-term relief. A stronger barrier sits at $1.35 to $1.40, where several moving averages converge.

XRP remains under downward pressure with trading volume subsiding since the August rally, pointing to reduced speculative activity and weakening buyer conviction.

Technical indicators, such as the Relative Strength Index (RSI), are situated in the lower half of the range and continue to signal bearish momentum. While selling pressure may be easing, the absence of any clear bullish divergence suggests that a substantial reversal remains elusive for now.

NEAR: Selling pressure intensifies after failed recovery

Near Protocol, an open-source smart contract platform, has declined sharply from its October peak near $6.00 and is now trading around $3.91. The project, known for its sharded architecture and user-friendly design, has seen ongoing downward movement following a strong rally earlier in the fall.

Recent daily charts reflect a worsening short-term trend, with prices making lower highs and lower lows. NEAR has broken below important short- and medium-term moving averages, indicating that bears remain in control. However, as prices are still above key longer-term averages, the possibility of a broader recovery remains alive if buyers can defend remaining support levels.

Support is currently located between $3.75 and $3.85. A move below $3.75 would open the path to $3.60 and potentially $3.30. Initial resistance stands at $4.20–$4.35, a zone featuring several moving averages aligned closely together. A close above this area is required for any meaningful rebound to develop toward $4.60 and $4.80.

The Relative Strength Index has entered the lower half of its range, reflecting diminished momentum. Trading activity has also slowed compared to September, indicating less speculation in the market.

Mini dictionary: Near Protocol, a layer-1 blockchain, uses sharding technology to improve scalability and reduce transaction costs by dividing the network into parallel segments called “shards”.

Unless NEAR can firmly reclaim $4.35, the short-term bias remains negative. A confirmed break below $3.75 would likely trigger further losses.

Zcash and Cardano: Support under threat as momentum weakens

Zcash (ZEC), the privacy-focused cryptocurrency utilizing zero-knowledge proofs for secure transactions, is trading near $1,208 after a rapid rise from around $500 in August. ZEC reached a high of roughly $1,700 by late September but has since entered a consolidation period marked by escalating indecision between bulls and bears.

ZEC continues to hold above its longer-term moving averages, keeping a cautiously bullish medium-term outlook intact. Yet, short-term signals show momentum fading. If ZEC fails to stay above its $1,150–$1,180 support zone, the next downside targets are $1,100 and the pivotal $1,000 level. Breaking above $1,300 could encourage buyers, while a close over $1,350 would be required to reconfirm the bullish trend.

Cardano (ADA), a proof-of-stake blockchain developed by engineers and academics, has struggled for upward progress during recent months. ADA is trading close to $0.1908 after sliding from an October high of about $0.28. The chart continues to show persistent lower highs, lower lows, and repeated failures to reclaim major moving averages, reaffirming the bearish momentum.

Support for ADA lies in the $0.185–$0.190 area. A drop below $0.185 could drive prices down to $0.175 and, if pressure continues, toward the $0.160–$0.165 range. Bulls need a move back above $0.200 as their first signal for a potential rebound. Key resistance stands at $0.215 and $0.230, where moving averages currently converge; a move past $0.230 could change the outlook to bullish.

Sustained low trading volumes in both $ZEC and $ADA suggest buyer conviction remains fragile, and any rallies may remain short-lived unless key resistance levels are broken convincingly.

Technical indicators for both ZEC and ADA point toward ongoing weakness. Low trading volumes and the absence of strong bullish divergences currently work against any immediate reversal scenarios.
