Price data for major Asian stocks is now reaching on-chain markets. In an&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/chainlink/status/2117617926249263602?s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official post on X</a>, published on 3 November 2026, the oracle network said its APAC Equities Streams have expanded to cover more than $40T of equity markets.&nbsp;
<img alt="Information by Chainlink" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/dttDLWcqFz4eDbU656TGlicOpLapzrUbdB373Jpm.png" width="300" style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; margin-top: 10px" height="582">
This <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/chainlink-crypto-news-dtcc-114-trillion-tokenization-launch" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Chainlink crypto news</a> matters for traders and builders alike, so here is a simple, source-based guide to what is confirmed and what is not.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-chainlink-announced-span-span">What Chainlink Announced</h3>
According to the post, the streams now cover equity markets in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/tokenized-deposits-hong-kong-standard-chartered-24-7" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hong Kong</a>.&nbsp;
It names TSMC, Tencent, Samsung, SK Hynix, and BYD, “and more.” The $40T+ figure comes from the post itself and is not listed on the documentation page.&nbsp;
An oracle, in simple terms, is a service that brings real-world information, such as prices, <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/concept-of-blockchain-technology-how-does-it-work" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">onto a blockchain</a>.
The post adds that builders can launch equity perpetuals, spot markets, prediction markets, and structured products, all priced on fast, secure feeds, including outside local trading hours.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/sei-perpetual-futures-update-cftc-regulated-exchange" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">A perpetual is a contract</a> that tracks a price without an expiry date, and a prediction market lets users trade on the outcome of an event.&nbsp;
A&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/chainlink/status/2117617929411772552" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">follow-up post</a> lists more venues that are onboarding.

<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-the-streams-cover-span-span">What the Streams Cover</h3>
The<a href="https://docs.chain.link/data-streams/rwa-streams/apac-equities" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official documentation</a> describes the streams as high-frequency, transparent price data for major Asia-Pacific indices and single stocks.&nbsp;
It says they help protocols build markets around sectors such as AI, semiconductors and consumer goods.&nbsp;
Prices are quoted in each exchange’s local currency.

The page lists all six stock exchanges as available.
Each report uses <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/what-is-rwa-tokenization" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the RWA Advanced</a> (v11) schema and includes a mid price, bid, ask and a market status field.&nbsp;
Trade prints are available for China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, while Korea and Japan are quote-only markets.&nbsp;
In plain words, quote-only means the feed shows what buyers and sellers are offering, not the price of the last completed trade.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-why-this-chainlink-crypto-news-matters-for-builders-span-span">Why This Chainlink Crypto News Matters for Builders</h3>
The<a href="https://docs.chain.link/data-streams/overview" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Data Streams overview</a> explains that the service delivers low-latency information off-chain that apps can verify on-chain.&nbsp;
It uses a pull-based design: an app fetches a report only when needed, instead of waiting for constant updates.&nbsp;
The docs say this supports sub-second updates and that a commit-and-reveal method helps reduce front-running.&nbsp;
Builders can reach the service through a REST API, WebSocket, or SDKs in Go, Rust, and TypeScript, and the docs describe sign-up as self-serve.
The post’s phrase about trading outside local hours needs care. The documentation says each instrument is quoted during its <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/chainlink-co-founder-sergey-nazarov-and-the-origins-of-chainlink" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">own exchange’s standard hours</a>, with no extended-hours session.&nbsp;
When a market is closed, the price holds at the last traded value. A flat price at night is expected and is not a fault, so a platform can stay open while the underlying price waits for the next session.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h3>
The expansion brings Asian equity prices closer to on-chain trading, with six exchanges and eleven named venues.&nbsp;
Still, the data follows local market hours and carries clear risks. Readers following Chainlink crypto news should rely on the official docs and posts and check live details before building or trading.
