Tron news covers a new network update, weekly fees that put TRON ahead of Solana, and Justin Sun’s plan to bring tokenized stocks and US Treasuries to the network. The three updates show what TRON is working on next.

TRON News: Protocol Asks Node Operators to Install New Upgrade

TRON DAO has released a new update called GreatVoyage-v4.8.2.4, also known as Empedocles. The team says the upgrade is mandatory and has asked node operators to install it as soon as possible.

The update focuses on two issues. It aims to make network operations more stable in rare cases and improve how smart contract storage and metadata are handled. TRON DAO has not announced any new features for users in this release. Instead, the changes address problems that may arise under certain conditions.

Node operators help keep the TRON network running and ensure their systems stay in sync. This is why the team has asked them to upgrade promptly. For Tron Crypto users, the update primarily focuses on keeping the network running as expected. TRON DAO has not said that the release will affect TRX prices or transaction fees.

Tron Crypto Leads Solana in Weekly Fees

Compared with other blockchains, TRON earned more in weekly network fees, according to figures shared by BSCN. The post puts total fees across the networks at $17.51 million for the week. TRON took the lead with $5.56 million, or 32% of the total. BSCN linked the figure to the steady cross-border movement of USDT.

Solana came in second with $4.20 million, accounting for 24% of the total. BNB Chain followed with $2.74 million, or 16%. Ethereum earned $2.15 million, while Bitcoin recorded $1.42 million. Base and Polygon brought in $548,000 and $419,000, respectively. The post said 25 other Layer-1 networks shared the remaining $473,000.

TRON earned $1.36 million more than Solana during the period. The figures point to the role USDT transfers play in activity on the TRON network. However, these numbers cover network fees for the week. They do not tell us how the prices of TRX or other tokens will move.

For Tron Crypto, the main point is that TRON continues to earn a large share of the reported fees. Whether it keeps this lead will depend on network activity in the coming weeks.

Justin Sun Plans to Bring Stocks and US Treasuries to TRON

TRON founder Justin Sun wants to expand the network beyond stablecoin transfers. According to his X post, Sun discussed plans for tokenized stocks and US Treasuries at TOKEN2049 Singapore and related events in October 2026.

RWA Tokenization means using blockchain tokens to represent assets that exist outside the blockchain. These assets can include company shares and government bonds.

Sun said TRON plans to bring both tokenized equities and US Treasuries to the network. The first planned step is a tokenized share offering in the fourth quarter of 2026. There is currently no name for the companies whose shares may be offered. It also does not provide details on the launch partners or how users will purchase these assets.

Sun said the plan would target users worldwide, with a focus on Asia and emerging markets. The aim is to reach people who want access to US-dollar-denominated assets through blockchain services rather than traditional brokerage accounts.

RWA Tokenization would give TRON another use beyond moving USDT. However, the share offering is still a plan, and more details are needed before its launch and terms become clear.
