President Donald Trump is preparing to highlight new measures against international cryptocurrency fraud networks in a White House event dedicated to cybercrime prevention.

Senior cabinet to address crypto fraud crackdown

Trump and several senior officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, FBI Director Kash Patel, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Todd Blanche, are set to detail recent efforts targeting fraudulent crypto investment sites and online impersonation schemes.

A White House representative indicated that authorities will present data on the seizure of fake investment platforms and describe strategies aimed at disrupting scam operations threatening US residents.

These remarks follow an executive order from March that instructed the Justice Department to prioritize cases involving online fraud, with a particular emphasis on crypto-related scams.

Law enforcement has recently executed cross-border operations, leading to the dismantling of scam-linked accounts and several arrests. Crypto investment fraud continues to be a leading factor in reported losses among US victims.

Fraud enforcement action has resulted in the freezing of hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions and the shutdown of hundreds of counterfeit investment websites.

The Trump administration argues that these initiatives are part of a broader campaign to reduce cybercrime that impacts both the financial system and individual Americans.

TRUMP meme coin sees sharp price drops

The Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin, which launched on the Solana blockchain in early 2025, currently trades at approximately $1.76, representing a fall of more than 97% from its all-time high above $70 reached earlier in the year. Despite this significant price correction, trading volume remains active relative to the token’s market capitalization.

Analysts note that the asset’s price structure has correlated more closely with overall market conditions and liquidity dynamics than with any specific political event or policy stance.

Although the event intensifies the White House’s attention on overseas crypto fraud, the initiatives do not directly address the TRUMP meme coin, which functions primarily as a political-themed digital asset. The token maintains a multi-year unlock schedule and exhibits highly concentrated ownership.

For TRUMP holders, price direction depends more on market liquidity, the unlocking of coins, and investor appetite for risk than on law enforcement events or regulatory statements.

Historically, politically connected meme coins such as TRUMP have exhibited brief responses to high-profile appearances, typically fading as market sentiment resumes its influence.

The token presently trades near its recent lows, and unless future events generate a broader surge in speculative interest, its reaction to upcoming enforcement news will likely remain limited.

Over the longer term, a sustained focus on combatting crypto fraud could strengthen institutional perceptions of the industry, but it does not directly address the challenges facing the TRUMP coin since its dramatic price drop in early 2025.
