Coinbase Derivatives, the regulated futures exchange operated by Coinbase, will temporarily halt trading this weekend to conduct scheduled maintenance. The interruption is set for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 5:00 AM CT and is expected to last approximately nine hours.

Futures Trading Temporarily Unavailable

Coinbase Markets announced the upcoming maintenance on its X account, specifying that trading for both futures and perpetual futures contracts will be paused during this window. While users will not be able to execute trades involving these derivatives products, account access will not be affected, allowing customers to monitor balances and other account activities without disruption.

Coinbase Markets has directed users seeking live updates to its status page, urging both traders and institutional clients to prepare for the brief outage. Industry observers view these scheduled maintenance periods as integral for infrastructure reliability and regulatory compliance.

Adjustments to Asset Offerings and Listings

Coinbase recently suspended trading for Blast (BLAST), giving users until October 26, 2026, to move their BLAST holdings in anticipation of the Blast network’s upcoming shutdown. The company has also added Axis Robotics (AXIS) to its trading platform, while Pearl (PEARL) and Stable (STABLE) were included in its asset roadmap, indicating potential near-term listings.

Further reviews resulted in Coinbase announcing the suspension of trading for Neon EVM (NEON) and Syndicate (SYND) on November 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. After this date, these tokens will be delisted from Coinbase Simple and Advanced Trade, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime. Coinbase will also suspend trading for Balancer (BAL) and Tensor (TNSR) on November 9, 2026, and for Stargate Finance (STG) and Vulcan Forged (PYR) on November 6, 2026, both at 2:00 PM ET.

Expansion of Perpetual Futures and New Listings

In October 2026, Coinbase and Deribit introduced six new equity perpetual futures markets—CRWV, ORCL, SOXS, DELL, PLTR, and SNXX—broadening investment options for users interested in equity derivatives. Additionally, PONS and CASHCAT perpetual futures markets launched for both retail and institutional traders on Coinbase, Coinbase Advanced, and Deribit, available in select jurisdictions.

Coinbase’s ongoing commitment to diversifying its asset offerings was also underscored by adding Pons (PONS), Data (DATA), and Whuffie (WHUF) to its trading platform and app. These new listings enable users to buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store the assets, enhancing access to a broader selection of tokens.

Coinbase’s platform update schedule and asset management policies remain active, as evidenced by its recent listing announcements and maintenance downtime designed to improve trading reliability and customer experience.
