Unchained reports that President Trump, speaking at an Oct. 21 White House roundtable on cybercrime, put a new figure on the crackdown, claiming nearly $1 billion in scam-linked crypto has been frozen tied to foreign scammers. Trump also asserted the administration prevented at least $1.6 billion in losses this year and shut down more than 500 fraudulent websites, framing the nationwide DOJ push as part of a broader campaign against overseas fraud rings targeting Americans.
