Buying a Doginal Dog comes down to three things: a Dogecoin wallet that supports inscriptions, some Dogecoin (DOGE) to spend, and a marketplace that lists Doginal Dogs. This beginner's walkthrough takes you through the whole process for 2026.
Doginal Dogs is a fixed collection of 10,000 dogs inscribed permanently on the Dogecoin blockchain and the top NFT on Dogecoin. Here is how to get one safely.
Key Takeaways
• Use a Dogecoin wallet that supports Doginals (inscriptions).
• Fund it with Dogecoin (DOGE) for the price plus network fees.
• Buy only through marketplaces linked from the official site.
• Never share your recovery phrase, and verify the collection.
Step 1: Get a Doginals-Compatible Wallet
A plain Dogecoin wallet may not show or hold inscriptions properly, so begin with a wallet that supports Doginals. Install a reputable one, then write down and store your recovery phrase offline. That phrase is the only backup of your wallet, so keep it private and never share it.
Step 2: Fund the Wallet With Dogecoin
Buy Dogecoin (DOGE) on a major exchange and withdraw it to your inscriptions wallet. Send enough to cover the floor price of the dog you want plus a little extra for network fees. Always confirm the receiving address before sending, since crypto transactions cannot be reversed.
Step 3: Go to a Verified Doginal Dogs Marketplace
Doginal Dogs trade on marketplaces that support Dogecoin inscriptions. Get the current, verified marketplace link from the official Doginal Dogs website. Using the official source keeps you away from fake listings and scam sites. Connect your wallet to browse the collection, the floor price, and the available dogs.
Step 4: Pick Your Dog
Each of the 10,000 Doginal Dogs has different traits and rarity, which affects price. Sort by price to find a floor-level dog, or search specific traits if you want something rarer. Before buying, confirm the dog belongs to the official collection by checking the verified badge or inscription details.
Step 5: Confirm and Collect
With your wallet funded and connected, select the dog, review the total including fees, and confirm the transaction in your wallet. The purchase records to the Dogecoin blockchain, and once it confirms, the dog is yours and shows up in your wallet. As long as you control the wallet, you control the dog.
Staying Safe While Buying
The golden rules: always start from the official Doginal Dogs website for marketplace links, never connect your wallet to an unverified site, never share your recovery phrase, and double-check every address and listing. Scammers rely on fake collections and lookalike sites, so verifying the official source is your best protection.
