Crypto commentator Cryptoinsightuk (@Cryptoinsightuk) made a bold prediction on Tuesday. He said Ripple is about to get a big license that will be the “god candle news” for XRP.
The post responded to a Coinbase headline. Watcher.Guru had announced that Coinbase received CFTC approval to launch its own U.S. crypto derivatives clearinghouse.

<h2 id="strong-readers-share-their-hopes-strong">Readers Share Their Hopes</h2>
Many readers backed the prediction. One <a href="https://x.com/ScotsUnicorn88/status/2104873680496889935" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> XRP is about to fly. Another <a href="https://x.com/DeFi_Ma/status/2104872027735650770" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> he hopes so. A third <a href="https://x.com/peteskeetpete/status/2104899110692352092" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">agreed</a> with the post. One reader <a href="https://x.com/nice_investment/status/2104904701590512033" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">set</a> a target of $3.2 for next month based on Cryptoinsightuk’s prediction, and another <a href="https://x.com/jr2004237/status/2104909520950702503" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">predicted</a> that the news would send the digital asset to $5 fast.
<h2 id="strong-guesses-about-the-license-strong">Guesses About the License</h2>
Several readers guessed the type of license. One <a href="https://x.com/KlangXrp/status/2104894704689074601" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">asked</a> about an unconditional OCC charter. Cryptoinsightuk <a href="https://x.com/Cryptoinsightuk/status/2104915170929832440" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">replied</a>, speculating that it could also be about the Fed Master Account. Another <a href="https://x.com/DIGITALNOMAD72/status/2104891679366893736" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">named</a> a banking license and a Fed master account as potential announcements.
One reader <a href="https://x.com/Supa_Zo005/status/2104871903106416746" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">expects</a> news of a Brazil VASP. Another <a href="https://x.com/TopherWeaves/status/2104903306573119514" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">suggested</a> the announcement could be related to <a href="https://timestabloid.com/evernorth-makes-major-move-for-xrp-expansion/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Evernorth, the XRP Treasury company</a>. Many in the community were excited for a major announcement. However, some were cautious.
<h2 id="strong-cautious-voices-strong">Cautious Voices</h2>
One reader <a href="https://x.com/stephenchip/status/2104901958712643598" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">welcomed</a> the news but said the last 100 pieces of good news ended in sell-offs. <a href="https://timestabloid.com/top-crypto-investor-says-im-starting-to-hate-xrp-based-on-this-announcement/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP’s failure to capitalize on major announcements</a> has frustrated many in the community, as the company has announced multiple major partnerships in 2026.
Another commenter <a href="https://x.com/arch_tex/status/2104880455078273419" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">doubted</a> Ripple CEO would deliver. He cited the SEC news and countless approvals, yet saw nothing follow. A skeptic <a href="https://x.com/illumination024/status/2104922719493984562" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">asked</a> how much others would wager against the news.

<h2 id="strong-milestones-traders-are-watching-strong">Milestones Traders Are Watching</h2>
The Ripple National Trust Bank is the subject of much of this talk. The OCC <a href="https://timestabloid.com/big-news-for-xrp-ripple-national-trust-bank-just-received-conditional-approval/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">granted conditional approval in December 2025</a>. Ripple must still clear pre-opening requirements. The charter expires around June 2027 if the bank has yet to open. Ripple also applied for a Federal Reserve master account, and the decision remains pending.
Validators are also voting on <a href="https://timestabloid.com/vet-presents-the-best-xrp-lending-protocol-explainer-so-far/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP Ledger lending amendments XLS-65 and XLS-66</a>. Each needs support from over 80% of trusted validators for two consecutive weeks. Some early September reports put support near 37% and 34%.
Traders now wait for word from Ripple. A final OCC approval or a Fed master account decision would give the license talk a concrete answer. Until then, readers keep guessing.
