Tom Lee’s BitMine has scooped up another 32,447 ETH worth roughly $79 million, extending an Ethereum accumulation streak that has turned the company into one of the most closely watched corporate ETH buyers in crypto.
The latest purchase adds to a treasury strategy that keeps circling back to a single asset: Ether. The buy was reported alongside a jump in BitMine’s stock, with BMNR shares climbing about 7% on the news, according to reporting from Coingape. It also fits a broader weekly pattern. BitMine’s recent ETH buying marked its largest weekly haul since early July, CoinDesk reported, underscoring that this is not a one-off trade but a sustained campaign. The word that matters here is “another.” This purchase stacks on top of prior buys that have steadily built BitMine’s position, echoing earlier moves like the company’s acquisition of 26,497 ETH that pushed its holdings above 5.4 million tokens. BitMine’s holdings have continued to climb since. The firm has said its ETH stack reached 5.85 million tokens, with total crypto and cash holdings of $14.9 billion, according to a company announcement. The pattern is consistent. Earlier accumulation included a 71,179 ETH purchase tied to the company’s stated ambition of controlling close to 5% of Ethereum’s supply, a goal it has inched toward with repeated buys.

Repeat treasury accumulation on this scale is a signal. When a single company keeps adding tens of thousands of ETH at a time, it concentrates a meaningful slice of supply and puts a public-market face on Ethereum conviction.
That is what separates BitMine’s approach from a passing trade. The buying is deliberate, disclosed, and tied to a named leader in Tom Lee, which is why each fresh purchase, including a prior 40,000 ETH buy, draws attention well beyond BitMine’s own shareholders.
How much higher can one company’s ETH pile climb before the market starts pricing in its next move?
