The XRP community has spent years building a massive subculture around cryptic riddles, secret NDAs, and hidden plans. The lore kept holders motivated through bear markets. The idea was that one day, everything would suddenly moon because of a big secret.

Ripple’s CTO, David Schwartz, just blew that whole narrative apart. In a live video clip, he told the community straight up that there is no conspiracy. There is no secret plan. The government is not talking about some big thing having to do with XRP. If your investment is based on the belief that there is a big secret going on, he said, you are probably fooling yourself. The XRP hype machine just imploded.

The Day David Schwartz Killed the XRP Fairy Tale

The video clip is short and direct. Schwartz said that while there are NDAs around agreements, they are not earth shattering. He said that 99% of what you see is what is going on. If you heard a rumor from unofficial sources, it is either false or about to become public very soon.

As far as he knows, there are no major secrets that have been going on for years. He basically told the community to stop basing their investment thesis on hidden master plans and conspiracy lore. It is mostly public, standard business NDAs. Rumors are usually wrong.

The Community Reacts

The tweet from MinusWells called this a shocking betrayal in XRP nation. He was sarcastically freaking out because a prominent pro XRP account praised Schwartz for telling the truth. MinusWells joked that this violated the XRP Club code of conduct. The attached photo showed a bar of pink soap stamped “XRP club,” implying someone just dropped the soap by telling the truth too bluntly.

The replies are split. Some see it as refreshing honesty. Finally, someone said to stop investing based on riddles. Others call it 5D chess or claim Schwartz is still leaving the door open. A few are straight up mad at the betrayal of the lore.

The video has big overlay text at the end. It says there are two options. David just ended the lore and riddle season, or he just opened the next chapter. The community is arguing about which one it is right now.

What This Means for XRP Holders

Schwartz is being his usual blunt, logical self. No secret sauce. Just business as usual. For XRP holders who built their thesis on hidden plans and moonshot conspiracies, this is a wake up call. The XRP price may still have a future based on real utility, regulatory clarity, and institutional adoption.

But the secret plan narrative is dead. David Schwartz just killed it. Whether that ends the dream or resets it is exactly what the community is fighting about right now. The hype machine is broken. The truth is out. Now XRP holders have to decide what comes next.

Yes, some analysts and market models suggest XRP can reach $10, though it is considered an extreme bull case scenario for the current cycle rather than a guaranteed target. Reaching $10 requires significant institutional adoption, a major bull market, and a market capitalization exceeding $600 billion.

The odds of your XRP position paying off will be a lot higher if you have at least four or five years to hold it. For anyone who is closer to drawing down their savings, XRP’s volatility makes it a poor fit regardless of its potential. It has a bright future, but no one expects a smooth ride.
