As 2026 begins with fast price action across major coins and active presales, many investors are once again asking a familiar question: which crypto offers the best opportunity right now? This month, market focus is split between large-cap assets showing renewed power and one presale project that is changing how late-stage entries work.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are pushing higher thanks to fresh optimism, strong capital inflows, and supportive global signals. At the same time, BlockDAG (BDAG) has reopened its earliest presale price, creating a limited-time window that stands out for its high upside potential and tight deadline. Below is how these three compare as buyers move into an important period for crypto in 2026.

Bitcoin (BTC): Trading Near $97K with Institutional Support

Bitcoin has once again taken the spotlight in early 2026. During the second week of January, BTC climbed above $97,000, posting gains of nearly 4% in only a few sessions. Market analysts point to easing inflation data, stronger ETF demand, and renewed interest in Bitcoin as a safety asset during global uncertainty.

Large investors continue to add exposure through regulated investment products, strengthening confidence among retail participants. At the same time, on-chain activity shows steady holder behavior, with limited selling pressure and controlled volatility.

As governments move closer to clearer crypto rules, Bitcoin is expected to benefit directly from policy progress. While its growth rate may not match early bull cycles, BTC still sets the tone for the wider market. For investors focused on stability and long-term positioning, Bitcoin remains one of the strongest options available today.

Ethereum (ETH): Steady Gains With 5% Weekly Growth

Ethereum may not be grabbing headlines, but its performance has been solid to start the year. ETH has posted close to a 5% weekly increase, continuing a steady climb marked by higher price floors and rising trading interest.

Ethereum’s main advantage remains its central role in smart contracts, DeFi platforms, and decentralized applications. Even with more Layer 1 competitors entering the market, ETH still controls the largest share of developer activity and total value locked.

Planned upgrades in 2026 aim to boost network speed and lower transaction costs, helping long-term adoption. Institutional interest is also growing, with ETH appearing more often in regulated crypto funds alongside Bitcoin. For investors seeking a balance between proven strength and future growth, Ethereum remains a strong long-term contender.

BlockDAG (BDAG): Final 5 Days for 50x ROI Before the Presale Closes on January 26!

While Bitcoin and Ethereum continue their climb, BlockDAG is taking a very different path that is drawing strong attention from late-stage buyers. Instead of slowly moving toward launch, the project has reopened access at its earliest entry level, creating urgency across the presale market and increasing interest from short-term and long-term participants alike.

In a rare move, BlockDAG has brought back its original Stage 1 price of $0.001, giving new buyers the same entry point early supporters received months ago. This window is extremely limited. The presale closes on January 26, and the confirmed launch price is set at $0.05, creating a built-in 50x upside from today’s level. For many investors, this clear price gap removes uncertainty and makes the opportunity easier to measure.

This is not a preview offer or early concept sale. BlockDAG has already locked liquidity, confirmed market maker support, and announced fixed dates for its rollout. The Token Generation Event is scheduled for February 11, followed by public trading on February 16. With more than $444 million raised, the project enters its launch phase with strong financial backing and operational readiness.

On the technical side, BlockDAG reports speeds of up to 1,400 transactions per second, placing it among the fastest EVM-compatible Layer 1 networks preparing to go live. With the product completed and the timeline set, BDAG stands out as a rare late-stage presale that combines structure, speed, and defined upside.

Different Strategies, One Clear Deadline

For investors planning allocations in early 2026, the decision may not be about choosing only one asset, but understanding how each fits different goals and risk levels. Bitcoin continues to offer long-term security supported by growing institutional demand and strong market dominance.

Ethereum strengthens its role as the backbone of decentralized systems, powering smart contracts, DeFi platforms, and on-chain applications across the crypto economy. BlockDAG delivers a rare short-term opportunity with a fixed entry price, a limited supply of only 2.33B coins left, and a fast-approaching public launch.

For those asking which cryptos to buy right now, each asset serves a different purpose. Bitcoin and Ethereum provide stability, scale, and long-term growth potential. BlockDAG offers timing, early access, and a closing window that does not wait. January 26 marks the final day for BDAG’s $0.001 price. After that, the presale ends and the entry opportunity disappears completely.
