SFK Secures $20 Million Initial Investment from N9 Foundation Enters Domestic Market as Web3 Platform Combining DeFi, NFT, and GameFi Aims to Strengthen Global Competitiveness Amid Growing Korean Web3 Gaming Trend.
This morning (December 5), Sun Flower Korea (SFK) announced its official entry into the Korean market. Simultaneously, it disclosed securing approximately $20 million in initial investment from the N9 Foundation. This investment will serve as core funding for enhancing SFK's DeFi platform and expanding its NFT and GameFi ecosystem.
SFK positions itself as a Web3 platform integrating NFT and GameFi elements into a DeFi framework. The company explained, “All transactions and smart contracts are transparently disclosed on the blockchain, operating fully decentralized without central operational authority.” It emphasized that users can directly participate in decision-making processes through DAO governance, contributing to ecosystem growth and value creation.
This entry into the Korean market aligns with the growth trajectory of the Web3 and blockchain gaming industries. Recently, major domestic game companies have been expanding blockchain-based content and increasingly incorporating NFTs and digital assets into game structures. SFK plans to strengthen connections between the global Web3 community and domestic users within this trend.
In Korea, virtual asset and NFT-related businesses are subject to investment and disclosure regulations, as well as user protection rules. The industry views compliance with institutional requirements, including disclosure responsibilities and market surveillance obligations, as a key factor for a project's future sustainability. SFK has outlined a policy to concurrently strengthen its security framework and risk management systems in response.
SFK plans to expand its global community reach by focusing on NFT-based node structures, GameFi integration, and token ecosystem expansion. However, it emphasized that due to the inherent price volatility, security, and regulatory risks of the Web3 and NFT industries, both users and investors must approach with caution.
Meanwhile, SFK announced plans to list on BNB and OKX exchanges through its community channels. The company stated this move aims to expand global liquidity and enhance accessibility.
