Solana

BlockDAG Network

Avalanche

In blockchain, the real difference lies in how well networks hold up under pressure. Solana and Avalanche have made big moves—Solana with its hybrid PoH-PoS model and Avalanche with its multi-chain setup. Both offer speed, modularity, and impressive adoption figures.
But while they rack up headlines and returns, BlockDAG is taking a different route. Its Beta Testnet focuses on practical testing, not promises. With $210.5 million raised and 19 billion coins already sold, BlockDAG’s live testing phase is less a teaser and more a readiness trial for mainnet.

Solana relies on a mix of Proof of History and Proof of Stake to keep transactions fast and fees low. It handles more than 65,000 transactions per second, putting it among the top contenders for blockchain speed. Those who joined Solana’s $0.22 seed round in 2020 saw huge gains as it surged past $200 in earlier bull markets.

From March 2024 to March 2025, Solana jumped from $20 to over $175—an increase of more than 750%. Its daily active addresses have grown 450%, and in January 2025 alone, it brought in $250M in fee revenue—outpacing Ethereum. Solana now counts over 3.25 million users and leads in developer activity, drawing in DeFi and NFT builders alike. It’s pushing hard to stay a top choice for scalable blockchain use.

Avalanche, developed by Ava Labs, uses a three-chain system—X-Chain, P-Chain, and C-Chain—to keep things scalable and efficient. Its Snowman consensus protocol delivers near-instant finality, helping it support more traffic. Early buyers who got AVAX at $0.50 during its 2020 sale saw big returns when the token passed $60 in early 2025.

From March 2024 to March 2025, AVAX gained nearly 250%, thanks to upgrades like Avalanche9000. That update made launching subnet blockchains easier, bringing more developers to the ecosystem. Daily transactions went up more than 300% year-over-year, and total value locked (TVL) more than doubled. Avalanche’s flexible approach to blockchain design is attracting both enterprises and DeFi teams looking to build real-world solutions.

BlockDAG’s Beta Is a Stress Test, Not a Showcase

Launched on March 28, BlockDAG’s Beta Testnet isn’t just a technical preview—it’s a live-fire testing ground. Designed to stress every layer of the network, the testnet pushes for over 15,000 daily transactions and 200 active mining nodes, exposing weak points and measuring decentralization in real time.
It also puts token logistics under the microscope, simulating the vesting and distribution process for more than 110,000 presale buyers—making sure everything works before mainnet goes live. Behind the scenes, a 24/7 Freshdesk pipeline logs issues and escalates them directly to dev teams for rapid response.

What’s backing this no-room-for-error rollout? A huge wave of support. BlockDAG has already raised $210.5 million in presale funds, selling over 19 billion coins. At a current price of $0.0248 in Batch 27, early adopters have seen a 2,380% ROI since Batch 1. Bottom line: this phase isn’t about theory—it’s real-time validation under pressure.

Stress-Tested vs. Live-Deployed

Solana and Avalanche have proven they can grow fast and scale high—but both are already deep into live deployments. BlockDAG, in contrast, is focusing on proving its reliability first.
From vesting simulations for more than 110,000 wallets to performance benchmarks across thousands of transactions and mining operations, the Beta Testnet is built around real validation. With a 2,380% return since Batch 1 and strong community engagement, BlockDAG is prioritizing long-term reliability over short-term headlines.
And when the mainnet finally launches, that careful testing may prove to be its biggest asset.
