This headline might be most fitting for Solana, but today’s topic is different. One of its biggest competitors is experiencing this issue. Network outages in smart contract platforms that emerged as alternatives to the Ethereum network are becoming more common. Solana leads in this regard, and having 1-2 outages per year has become the norm. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="avalanche-avax-halts">Avalanche (AVAX) Halts</h2> 
At the time this article was prepared, the <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/why-avalanche-avax-cant-recover/" data-wpel-link="internal">Avalanche</a> (AVAX) network had halted, and developers were still investigating the cause. Kevin Sekniqi from Ava Labs mentioned that new blocks could not be produced and that the outage might be related to inscriptions that started about an hour ago. Inscriptions, which have become a part of our lives with Bitcoin ordinals, can significantly increase network load and lead to prolonged outages. 
Kevin from Ava Labs stated the following;

 “We are currently investigating a primary network block production issue on Avalanche. It seems to be related to a new wave of inscriptions that started about an hour ago. This is clearly an unusual error resulting from some edge cases that need to be addressed quickly. There could be some mempool processing issues related to inscriptions hitting some untested edge cases.”

As you may recall, we have seen such pauses in Litecoin, <a href="https://coin-turk.com/uzmanlar-dogecoin-ve-shiba-inu-icin-alarm-verdi-doge-ve-shib-fiyati-ne-olacak" data-wpel-link="internal">Dogecoin</a>, and a few other networks before. The AVAX price dropped from $36.7 to $36.23 as the network halted. With the resolution of the issue, a reversal of sales is likely, so be especially cautious of sudden movements in futures trading.
