<p style="text-align: justify">Ripple’s XRP has occasionally shone through as the most traded altcoin on central cryptocurrency exchanges, especially earlier this year, indicating an increase in popularity. Most recently, XRP became the most traded altcoin on the European cryptocurrency exchange Uphold, surpassing major cryptocurrencies like <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/bitcoin-and-altcoin-analysis-sleepless-nights-coming-soon/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), and witnessed significant user engagement.</p>
<h2 id="xrp-overtakes-btc-and-eth">XRP Overtakes BTC and ETH</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Ripple’s XRP is on a significant upward trend this year, increasing its value and becoming increasingly attractive to altcoin investors. Dr. Martin Hiesboeck, Research Director at cryptocurrency exchange Uphold, revealed another interesting development surrounding the altcoin. Hiesboeck announced that XRP was the most traded altcoin on the Uphold exchange during the past week (November 18 – November 25), with nearly 75% of users purchasing the altcoin.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Interestingly, BTC and ETH, among the largest cryptocurrencies by <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/finance/" data-wpel-link="exclude" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">market</a> value, ranked fifth and eighth, respectively. Altcoins such as Kaspa (KAS) and Stellar (XLM) followed XRP in the top three positions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">At one point earlier this year, Ripple’s XRP was the most traded altcoin on US-based cryptocurrency exchanges. It had surpassed other altcoins such as Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), and Dogecoin (<a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/this-altcoin-is-relentless-now-it-has-surpassed-the-largest-in-its-field/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DOGE</a>), securing top rankings.</p>
<h2 id="uphold-ripple-collaboration">Uphold – Ripple Collaboration</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">US-based blockchain company Ripple entered into a collaboration with Uphold exchange at the end of October to “support and improve cross-border payment infrastructure.” Simon McLoughlin, CEO of Uphold, contends that the partnership demonstrates how both companies’ qualities can be merged for efficient crypto-fiat transfers and bank payments.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Shortly after announcing the collaboration, Uphold doubled the amount of the AirDrop for XRP to be executed last month, aiming to reach a lucky user. Moreover, they introduced a new giveaway for November, where a lucky customer would receive 50,000 XRP, worth $32,000 at current rates.</p>
