Ethereum’s <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/trading/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">trading</a> volume had increased by 27% as of press time, showing increased whale activity ahead of its recent Shangai upgrade.<h2 id="header-0">How are other altcoins doing?</h2><a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/solana-price/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana</a> continues to dominate for the second day recording an increase of close to 6% within a 24-hour period. Solana’s trading volume has also seen an additional 8.6% increase within the same period.<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/3fec1159f0804555b9272d2f26935477.png" />Arbitrum, the second most trending coin on CoinMarketCap charts, has also registered an increase of 3.2% within the same period as well as an increase of 6% in its trading volume.<a href="https://near.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Near protocol’s</a> NEAR token bagged today’s top 100 top gainers recording an 8% increase within 24 hours. The assets trading volume has also seen an outstanding 191% gain within 24 hours. This surge can be attributed to a recent tweet to a recent tweet by Elon Musk, stating that the singularity is near, which the network retweeted, prompting action on the token.Today’s market session proves the work bulls are putting in as the markets try to recover from what has been a volatile few days.
