Started in October 2020, the Cardiocoin team consists of serial entrepreneurs, IoT & machine learning technology specialists, along with global business veterans based in Silicon Valley & South Korea. Cardiocoin combines Move-to-Earn with Play-to-Earn through its proprietary technology sensors & software which tracks only real fitness through vibration detection, power sensing, and machine learning (globally patented in US, UK, KR & CH) and can be installed into existing & new fitness equipment quickly and at low cost.

Cardiocoin not only has 99% accurate fitness verification sensors through its patented technology but has also built a platform (think of it as the “Netflix” of exercise) that allows users to connect their real exercise on fitness equipment with the world's most famous games, metaverse & content.

The connection between real-world exercise and metaverse activity is facilitated through Metabike (Cardio’s home fitness bike) and Metarun (Cardio’s gym treadmill solution). Metabike & Metarun utilize the Cardio HUB, a tablet & smartTV application that users can log into with a simple QR scan from their smartphone Cardio APP. The Cardio HUB allows fitness users to access dozens of games & other contents from world-class developers and Cardio can continue to expand this curated list to hundreds of contents because Cardio HUB doesn’t require publishing permissions to integrated (Metabike has built-in game controllers in its handlebar which acts as a giant joystick, and the speed of pedaling controls the speed of your game character’s movement).

Other projects that use smartphones and wearables as the primary tracker of fitness data cannot prevent people from cheating the device (i.e. riding car with app on to increase distance, putting wearable on dog collar or moving fan to increase points, shaking the device, etc...). This led to the destabilization & inflation related demise of various projects that came before and we predict this will happened with Move-to-Earn projects that allow tokenization of fake fitness data (people will cheat to receive monetary compensation as already proven).

Furthermore, our patented sensor technology is produced for under $50 USD per unit, a very economical choice for ODM fitness equipment manufacturers, distributors, and end-user service platforms. Our IoT Pedal is a small fraction of the cost of previous bicycle torque sensors (power sensing in bikes is necessary to calculate real exercise distance & therefore health data such as calories burned). Our IoT Sensor for treadmills and IoT Pedals for indoor bikes can be attached easily to any existing fitness equipment that is currently in use or in production, transforming legacy equipment into metaverse connected smart bikes & smart treadmills.

The deployment of this technology allows Cardio to target the 500 million users of treadmills and indoor bikes globally by retrofitting existing equipment (Cardio will distribute pre-installed equipment for product quality control in its early stages).

Cardio has already launched its Metarun service for treadmills in gyms in South Korea across 20 select gyms for its BETA test, with over 2,500 MAU. Cardio has already verified over 43,744 Km of exercise distance through 25,712 workouts over 7,449 hours of exercise, and users have received rewards worth around $10,000 in Cardio Points (for use in-app and will be swappable for Cardiocoin).

Cardio’s Metabike is set to launch in 2022 and both services will target the multi-billion dollar fitness & healthcare industry.
