Federal Reserve President Patrick Harker described the September non-farm payroll report as "slightly outdated," noting its alignment with broader economic expectations. "Total nonfarm payroll employment edged up by 119,000 in September but has shown little change since April." This comment reflects the ongoing challenges facing monetary policy, especially as employment data demonstrates variability.
