<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/rich-dad-poor-dad-author-reveals-how-a-fortune-is-wiped-out" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Robert Kiyosaki</a> isn’t scared of the crypto sell-off. He is looking forward to the next one.
“People paniced when gold, silver, <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/bitcoin" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin </a>crash. I bought more,” the “Rich Dad Poor Dad” author <a href="https://x.com/theRealKiyosaki/status/2117953199646941557" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">wrote on X</a>.
<blockquote>
 “Can’t wait for the next crash of gold, silver, Bitcoin,” he added.
</blockquote>
<h2 id="kiyosaki-says-crashes-are-not-the-real-danger">Kiyosaki says crashes are not the real danger</h2>
Kiyosaki argued that price drops are a distraction from bigger problems.
<blockquote>
 “The real problem is the growing size of global debt, especially the USA, the incompetence of our leaders to do what really needs to be done, an education that teaches nothing, zero, nada about money,” he wrote.
</blockquote>
He also took aim at paper currency, saying the purpose of “fiat money (Fake money)” is “to steal the wealth of the people who work for money, and save fake money.”
His debt concerns aren’t without basis. The U.S. <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/elon-musk-has-a-bold-answer-to-americas-40-trillion-debt-crisis" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">national debt</a> stood at roughly $40.39 trillion.
Kiyosaki’s comments come as Bitcoin struggles through a weak stretch, with the cryptocurrency recently retesting previous lows.
<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/musk-warned-america-will-go-1000-bankrupt-now-u-s-debt-tops-40-trillion-and-counting" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Related: Musk warned America will go 1,000% bankrupt. Now U.S. debt tops $40 trillion and counting</a>
<h2 id="bitcoin-s-rough-october-gives-kiyosaki-his-dip">Bitcoin’s rough October gives Kiyosaki his dip</h2>
Bitcoin was trading at $76,786 on Oct. 31 and had dropped 8.23% for the month. CoinGlass <a href="https://www.coinglass.com/today" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">data</a> suggested it was on track for its worst October in 12 years.
That is a sharp turnaround for a month that has historically averaged gains above 26%.
At that price, the world’s largest cryptocurrency sat <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/policy/sen-hagerty-hints-u-s-could-add-to-its-bitcoin-reserve-very-soon" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">roughly</a> 39% below its record high of $126,080, set on Oct. 6, 2025.
For long-term holders like Kiyosaki, that gap is a buying opportunity. For newer investors who bought near the top, it has been a painful ride.
Kiyosaki has long called fiat currency “fake money” and backed Bitcoin, gold and silver as alternatives.
Earlier he <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/rich-dad-poor-dad-author-warns-crash-could-leave-boomers-homeless-backs-gold-silver-bitcoin-again" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">urged</a> his followers to get into gold, silver and <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/analyst-spots-an-eerie-repeat-for-golds-biggest-rival" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin before</a> it is too late.
He has long advocated holding gold, silver, Bitcoin, and select real estate as a way to protect wealth.
He has also consistently framed <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/rich-dad-poor-dad-author-names-four-assets-making-investors-richer" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">these assets</a> as a response to inflation and the declining purchasing power of cash, arguing that the monetary system penalized savers who kept their wealth in depreciating currency.
