Crypto analyst Bitcoin Boy, known as @btcbox123 on X, has identified $30 as his price target for XRP, firmly dismissing the much higher predictions, including the triple-digit and $400 levels, that have circulated in the community. “I don’t think XRP will hit $400 either, but I do think $30 is pretty realistic,” the analyst wrote to his followers.

The case for $30: Channel and chart patterns

According to Bitcoin Boy, the foundation of the $30 outlook comes from XRP’s long-standing trajectory within an ascending price channel that has been in place since 2014. The digital asset has repeatedly formed symmetrical triangle patterns along this path, which have historically preceded significant price rallies. This sequence occurred before the 2017 surge, during the 2021 rally, and once again during a 500% move in late 2024.

Currently, XRP is positioned at the apex of another such triangle within the channel. The technical structure mirrors those that preceded the last three major breakouts, and Bitcoin Boy suggests this setup could signal the approach of a new all-time high.

XRP’s latest formation at the tip of a symmetrical triangle inside its long-term ascending channel closely resembles previous breakout patterns. Each past instance saw the price climb sharply after similar setups.

How the $30 target was calculated

The $30 price target is based on the asset’s historical tendency to approach the upper limit of its long-term ascending channel during each bullish cycle. Bitcoin Boy argues that, following this pattern, XRP could again reach the top band before facing a pullback, similar to past rallies.

With XRP trading near $1.24, achieving the $30 mark would require a rise of more than 2,300%. The analyst describes this target as a realistic reflection of structural chart behavior rather than outsized speculation.

Standing apart from bolder projections

Several community members have cited targets of $400 or even $1,000 for XRP. Bitcoin Boy distances his forecast from these towering numbers, emphasizing that the $30 call is grounded in technical analysis and the proven track record of the chart’s structure. He highlights that hitting this level would still result in substantial gains for early investors, without relying on speculative extremes.

Bitcoin Boy distinguishes his $30 price forecast from other bullish projections by basing it solely on chart patterns observed in past cycles, not on theoretical scenarios.

At a technical turning point

The current technical situation has compressed XRP’s price into a critical decision zone within a symmetrical triangle pattern. On three previous occasions, similar formations led to substantial price increases. Bitcoin Boy says he remains committed to his XRP position as the chart unfolds, believing the risk-reward profile justifies his conviction.

In crypto markets, symmetrical triangles often indicate consolidation before a sharp breakout in either direction.

Bitcoin Boy, active in the crypto market since 2017, says he has experienced several of XRP’s dramatic surges firsthand and remains optimistic about its next major rally.
