<h2 id="what-the-graniteshares-filing-says">What the GraniteShares Filing Says</h2>
The document is a post-effective amendment. It states that its only purpose is to delay the effective date of an earlier change to the fund registration.
The registration covers several crypto products. These include the GraniteShares 3x Long XRP Daily ETF and the GraniteShares 3x Short XRP Daily ETF.
The same filing also includes leveraged funds tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. All of these products are affected by the new date.
The amendment uses November 30 as the proposed effective date under Rule 485(b) of the Securities Act of 1933. This rule covers how certain fund registration changes take effect.
The filing does not explain why the date was moved. It also makes no mention of the upcoming US midterm elections.
GraniteShares ETF Trust President William Rhind signed the amendment on October 26.

<h2 id="midterm-elections-raise-questions">Midterm Elections Raise Questions</h2>
The filing arrived just days before the November 3 US midterm elections. Some market watchers have asked whether political uncertainty is affecting regulatory timelines.
Republicans currently hold a 218-214 majority in the House of Representatives. They also lead the Senate 53-47.
Democrats are trying to win control of both chambers. The elections are also seen as a test of President Donald Trump’s administration.
The results could affect how lawmakers handle cryptocurrency regulation. Both parties are competing hard for control of Congress.
Spending on the races has been high. AdImpact reported on October 12 that more than $3.8 billion had been spent on aired political ads.
Economic concerns and voter sentiment are among the main issues driving the contests.
Still, there is no evidence in the filing that the election played any role in the delay. The decision appears to be separate from the election calendar.
For now, the leveraged XRP, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana funds remain on hold. Investors will be watching to see whether the registration takes effect on November 30.
