Rally

Bitcoin

Microsoft Copilot AI predicts a potentially historic Bitcoin event by January 1, 2027. This prediction isn’t a conventional bullish forecast. Copilot suggests a major catalyst could affect Bitcoin (BTC) in the fourth quarter of 2026, potentially sparking a rally.
The key idea revolves around a coordinated decision by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and several major central banks to officially classify Bitcoin as a Tier 1 high-quality liquid asset (HQLA) under global banking regulations.
This classification would enable commercial banks worldwide to hold substantial amounts of Bitcoin on their balance sheets with favorable capital treatment. Consequently, it could trigger a new wave of institutional demand from the traditional banking sector.

On higher timeframes, Bitcoin is consolidating between $79,000 and $81,000 after pulling back from higher levels earlier in the month. The price continues to defend key intermediate support levels while facing resistance in the $85,000 to $90,000 zone.
In a typical bull market, a sustained breakout above $95,000 to $100,000 would confirm intermediate strength and pave the way for a retest of the previous all-time high near $126,000.

In the extreme global banking scenario outlined earlier, surpassing that previous high could trigger significant measured-move extensions and multi-cycle Fibonacci projections from the multi-year base.
Momentum indicators remain neutral to corrective, with considerable room to move into the extremely overbought levels typically seen during parabolic advances.
Key near-term support levels are around $78,000 to $79,000 and $74,000 to $76,000. Maintaining those levels would help keep the broader recovery structure intact as the market processes any major narrative developments.

Under this highly speculative scenario, and assuming a full-blown crypto bull market returns, Bitcoin could reach between $650,000 and $1,200,000, with a stretch target of $1,800,000+ by January 1, 2027.
This remains pure speculation and entertainment, not a realistic base-case outlook. The catalyst would require extraordinary coordination among global regulators and central banks that is currently highly unlikely.
