XRP has returned to a price zone that crypto analyst JD (@jaydee_757) has been tracking since early August.
The analyst posted a chart showing XRP trading near the $1.2877 level, inside what he calls his “grey box.” He describes it as a DCA zone, one he published on Patreon months before the current price action arrived there.
His post carries a clear message. “We CRASHED right back into my GREY BOX AGAIN,” he wrote. The emphasis is on the precision of the call, not just the current price.

What the Chart Shows

The EMA on the weekly chart is at $1.5085. That gap between current price and the EMA signals meaningful selling pressure in recent weeks. The grey box JD references appears on the chart as an orange-highlighted zone, sitting between roughly $1.25 and $1.30.
The asset’s price has pulled back into this area after reaching highs near $1.4197 during the period he charted. The candlestick structure shows a series of red weekly candles pushing price back into this support region.
A yellow diagonal trendline runs across the chart. It slopes downward toward the lower right. That line adds context to the bearish pressure currently visible in the price structure.

Warning Signs Still in Play

JD is not calling a recovery yet. He states there are major warning signs that need to be negated before he changes his outlook. His post does not specify each warning sign individually, but the chart and language together suggest he is watching for a confirmed hold of the grey box zone.
If that hold does not materialize, he expects a deeper crash. He adds that a deeper crash would increase his buying activity, stating he would be leaning heavily into dollar-cost averaging.

The DCA Strategy Behind the Call

Dollar-cost averaging into a key support zone is a defined strategy. JD’s approach involves accumulating at pre-identified levels rather than reacting to price movements in real time. The fact that he published this zone in early August gives the current setup added weight. XRP has now confirmed the zone’s relevance by returning to it.
He has announced a full chart update. That update will likely address whether the warning signs are resolving or whether lower targets come into view. Defending the grey box defense is a key focus going forward.
