when

The @Starknet Foundation has released @Bramble_fi, a self-custody wallet built to use native account abstraction and zero-knowledge capabilities on Starknet ($STRK). Crypto Briefing reported that the wallet went live on October 20, 2026, as a Chrome extension for swapping, storing and shielding crypto.

What Bramble offers

Bramble is non-custodial, meaning users hold their own keys rather than relying on an exchange or third party. Its headline feature is support for STRK20, Starknet's privacy framework, which lets users keep balances private.
Users can shield public tokens and send private transfers from inside the wallet, according to Crypto Briefing. The wallet also supports Ledger hardware devices, multisig accounts that need approval from more than one key, encrypted local vaults and spending allowances.
Bramble relies on smart contract accounts rather than conventional externally owned accounts. That design enables multi-sig and session-key functionality. The Defiant notes the wallet is Chrome-only and still offers a recovery phrase for backup, so users should not assume seed phrases have disappeared entirely.
Crypto Briefing said hints about the wallet surfaced in mid-September, a beta was available from October 12, and the current listed version is 0.1.

How STRK20 handles privacy and compliance

STRK20 is a zero-knowledge privacy framework for ERC-20 tokens on Starknet. The Defiant reported that it lets users shield balances and make private transfers and swaps, with an encrypted viewing-key path for compliance.
In practice, shielded balances and transaction amounts are hidden from public block explorers, while a zero-knowledge proof confirms that each private action follows network rules. Crypto.news reported that viewing keys can provide limited transaction records when authorities present a valid legal request, while protecting other users' histories. That approach is aimed at keeping the cryptographic proof needed for reporting without exposing everything on-chain.
Bramble follows other recent privacy additions on the network. Cointelegraph reported that StarkWare recently launched Shadow Accounts, which let users interact with DeFi apps without publicly linking activity to their main wallet, funded from shielded STRK20 balances.
The launch gives Starknet a first-party wallet that exposes these privacy tools directly, rather than leaving users to find them through third-party apps.
