BitMine has added 12,535 ETH to its corporate treasury, extending the company's Ethereum accumulation strategy even as Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee flagged both macroeconomic and technology-sector headwinds as near-term risks.

A Fresh 12,535 ETH Added to BitMine's Books

The purchase marks another discrete step in BitMine's stated Ethereum treasury approach. The company has been building its ETH position across multiple tranches; it previously bought $81 million in Ethereum when ETH hit $2,500 and acquired 9,926 ETH in a separate round, lifting its cumulative holdings at that point to 5.8 million ETH according to earlier reporting.

The 12,535 ETH figure in this latest tranche is the confirmed quantity per CryptoPotato's report. No verified dollar-equivalent or aggregate treasury balance is available in the current research package, so those figures are omitted here.
Cantor Fitzgerald took note of BitMine's accumulation pace earlier, doubling its BitMine price target to $63.60 in a separate analyst call, signaling institutional confidence in the treasury strategy even amid broader market uncertainty.

Tom Lee's Macro and Tech Caution

Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors, cited both macroeconomic pressure and technology-sector stress as headwinds at the time of the announcement, per the same CryptoPotato report. Lee's comments are a perspective on current conditions, not a price forecast for Ethereum specifically.

The tech-sector concern is distinct from the macro point. A broader pullback in technology equities can weigh on crypto risk appetite in the short run, but Lee's dual-headwind framing did not prevent BitMine from proceeding with the 12,535 ETH addition, suggesting the company treats near-term sentiment as secondary to its long-duration treasury thesis.

TLDR Keypoints

BitMine added 12,535 ETH to its corporate treasury in this latest reported transaction.

Tom Lee cited both macroeconomic and technology-sector headwinds as near-term risk factors; these are stated concerns, not price predictions.

The purchase fits an ongoing Ethereum treasury accumulation pattern at BitMine, with prior tranches documented across multiple rounds.

Upcoming signals to watch: any further filings from BitMine's investor news page disclosing updated treasury balances, and whether Lee's cited headwinds show up in broader crypto market cap momentum over the coming sessions.
