Every Solana price prediction this month runs through one date, October 21, and the chart has not caught up yet. SOL has cooled 11.1% over seven days to roughly $107, per altFINS, even though the network is about to cut its confirm time to a fraction of a second, down from 12.8 seconds. ETH nearly doubled in the two months before its big 2022 upgrade, and dates like this change how traders bet.

Big upgrades also bring back an old pattern. Solana itself started as a young project with working tech that most traders had never heard of. Today, buyers are spotting the same thing in Pepeto, whose live cross-chain bridge has helped bring in over $11.1 million before its token trades anywhere.

What time does Alpenglow switch on for Solana?

Alpenglow switches on at about 15:00 UTC on October 21, according to a CoinDesk report from October 14. It swaps out the voting setup Solana has run since its 2020 launch, and validators approved it with 98.27% support.

Once it lands, confirmations that need about 12.8 seconds today should take roughly 150 milliseconds, according to Decrypt. In plain words, the chain will feel almost instant. Upgrades this big usually draw buyers ahead of the date rather than after it, so every Solana price prediction this week leans on the calendar.

Pepeto: the early Solana story playing out again before listing

In 2020, Solana was a fast chain that almost nobody owned, with working tech and a token most traders had never heard of. In 2026, Pepeto is an Ethereum token that almost nobody owns yet, sold only through its presale, with working tools and buyers piling in. The team has also done this before, since its cofounder took Pepe to $11 billion without shipping one product.

The bridge is what keeps new money arriving, because it fixes a real pain. Moving coins between chains normally runs $15 to $50, can drag on for hours, and a broken transfer can lock up funds for good. Pepeto's bridge links Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Base, finishes transfers in under a minute with a $0 bridge fee, and when something goes wrong mid-transfer, the bridge reverses the lock and returns the coins. Alongside it run a zero-fee exchange and a contract risk scanner, with a SolidProof audit on the contract, a lead with Binance experience, and staking at 161% a year that holders can claim at listing.

Anyone moving coins across chains could become a user, and more users mean more demand for the token, the same loop that helped Solana grow. Analysts project 100x from this stage, which would turn $1,000 into $100,000 once trading opens.

Early Solana holders never got a second shot at their entry price, and Pepeto's stages work the same way, each one priced above the last until the listing ends them for good. Every stage that sells out is an entry price nobody gets to buy again.

Solana (SOL) Price Prediction: Can Alpenglow Push SOL Back to $120?

It can. CoinMarketCap has SOL at $105.61, and the first job today is getting back above the 50 day average near $107.40, per CoinDCX. For the week, Lenka Fetyko of altFINS sees $100 support tested before a push to $120, and a daily close over $120 clears a path to $145, with $90 as the deeper cushion.

CoinDCX sets $110 as its October target inside a $97.44 to $119.90 range and sees $124 by year end. From our view, Alpenglow lands right in the middle of that range, so a smooth switch is the most likely spark to lift SOL back to $120.

That is a good trade for patient holders, though a slow one that takes weeks and rarely doubles anyone's money.

Solana price prediction: does SOL or Pepeto hold more upside?

Pepeto carries the bigger upside, because even the boldest target in this Solana outlook, $145, is under 40% above today's price. A coin of SOL's size no longer delivers quick 100x runs, and those moves now belong to younger projects that already ship working tools.

Buyers seem to know it, since they pushed Pepeto beyond $11.1 million as the wider market slid. SOL holders face months of waiting for a gain that may not reach 2x, while analysts see a 100x path for Pepeto once it lists. Early Solana buyers grew small bets into life changing money because they got in before the crowd, and Pepeto's current stage offers that same early entry only until it sells out.

FAQs

How reliable is today's Solana price prediction?

Today's Solana price prediction works well as a level map. altFINS expects a $100 retest, then $120 and $145 after a close above $120.

Why are traders buying Pepeto before Alpenglow goes live?

Because Pepeto looks like early Solana: working tools, no listing, and no crowd yet. Buyers have already pushed it past $11.1 million.
