<p>XRP delivered much of the bullish scenario we outlined in our <a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/heres-where-xrp-price-might-be-headed-this-week/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">previous weekly outlook</a>.</p>
<p>At the time, the path was straightforward: XRP needed to reclaim $1.42, push through $1.45 and clear the $1.48-$1.49 resistance area. A confirmed move beyond that zone could bring $1.55 into view.</p>
<p>That is essentially what happened. <a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/ripple-xrp-price-prediction/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP</a> surged through those levels as the broader crypto market rallied, reached as high as approximately $1.66, and spent part of the week inside the $1.55-$1.60 region.</p>
<p>The rally has cooled, however. XRP is now around $1.52 after retreating from its recent high, leaving traders with a new question: was this simply a healthy pullback after a strong advance, or is XRP preparing to give back more of its recent gains?</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="xrp-price-holds-above-former-resistance">XRP Price Holds Above Former Resistance</h2>
<p>The encouraging part of the chart is that XRP remains above the $1.48-$1.49 region that previously acted as resistance.</p>
<p>The two-hour Binance <a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/this-analysts-xrp-price-prediction-makes-13-look-conservative/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">chart shows XRP</a> climbing from a September 16 low near $1.2457 before accelerating significantly after September 20. Price pushed through $1.40, $1.45 and $1.50 before reaching a local high of $1.6582.</p>
<p>That represents a gain of roughly 33% from the September low to the recent high.</p>

<p>Since then, XRP has been unable to maintain the move above $1.60. The first selloff took price back toward the upper-$1.40s before buyers stepped in. XRP subsequently recovered toward $1.60 again, but that attempt also failed to retake the $1.6582 high.</p>
<p>The result is a short-term series of lower highs, with XRP now consolidating around $1.52.</p>
<p>That makes $1.48-$1.50 the first area to watch this week. Former resistance becoming support would be constructive for bulls. Below it, approximately $1.44-$1.45 becomes the next notable region, followed by the broader $1.39-$1.42 area.</p>
<p>On the upside, XRP first needs to recover approximately $1.55. Beyond that, $1.58-$1.60 is the more meaningful resistance zone. A sustained move through $1.60 would put the recent $1.6582 high back in play.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="xrp-indicators-show-the-rally-has-cooled">XRP Indicators Show the Rally Has Cooled</h2>
<p>The indicators underneath the chart are considerably less bullish than they were during XRP’s run toward $1.66.</p>
<p>The chart displays three RSI readings, at approximately 39.27, 42.79 and 48.14. All are below the neutral 50 area, showing that short-term momentum has weakened. At the same time, XRP is not deeply oversold, leaving room for additional downside if support starts failing.</p>
<p>MACD tells a similar story. The DIF is approximately -0.0061, the DEA around -0.0020 and the histogram near -0.0082. The histogram remains negative and the faster line is below the signal line, indicating that sellers currently have the short-term momentum advantage.</p>
<p>However, the negative histogram bars are relatively modest compared with the much larger downside burst seen during the September 23-24 correction. That fits better with cooling price action than with an outright collapse at this stage.</p>
<p>CCI is around -92.94. That places it close to the commonly watched -100 level associated with weak or stretched downside conditions. A turn upward from this area could accompany another attempt at $1.55, while a sustained move below -100 alongside a loss of $1.48 would strengthen the bearish short-term case.</p>
<p>Taken together, the indicators point to a market that has lost some of its upside energy after a powerful rally.</p>
<p>They do not yet invalidate the improved <a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/xrp-price-tops-1-60-but-the-on-chain-data-is-even-more-interesting/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">price structure created by XRP’s move</a> above its previous resistance.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="xrp-ledger-gets-another-software-update">XRP Ledger Gets Another Software Update</h2>
<p>Away from price, the XRP Ledger developer community has <a href="https://xrpl.org/blog/2026/xrpld-3.4.1" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">released <code>xrpld</code> version 3.4.1</a>, an emergency update containing a new <code>fixBatchV1_2</code> amendment alongside additional security and stability fixes. The official XRPL release says operators should upgrade promptly.</p>
<p>The update addresses an issue involving the Batch feature. According to the official changelog, one of the fixes rejects Batch inner transactions that use the wrong wrapper. The XRPL team says <code>fixBatchV1_2</code> has already achieved a validator supermajority and is expected to activate on October 9 if that support is maintained.</p>
<p>There was also an unusual coordinated voting move behind the new schedule. Validators, including participants from Ripple and the wider community, temporarily changed enough Batch votes from Yes to Nay to reset its activation window. That allowed Batch and its new fix to move toward activation together rather than having Batch activate first.</p>
<p>Importantly, the newly disclosed issue did not affect XRPL Mainnet and there were no reported losses of funds. The Batch feature itself is designed to allow multiple transactions to be processed together, including atomic execution where the grouped operations succeed or fail together.</p>
<p>For XRP price, this is better viewed as a protocol-development story than an immediate price catalyst. A successful upgrade improves the underlying network’s capabilities and stability, but it does not automatically create additional demand for XRP.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="xrp-price-forecast-for-this-week">XRP Price Forecast for This Week</h2>
<p>XRP enters the week in a better technical position than it did before the latest rally, but the easy part of the move may already be behind it.</p>
<p>The central battleground is now roughly $1.48-$1.50. As long as XRP remains above that former resistance area, another attempt to reclaim $1.55 and challenge $1.60 remains plausible. Losing it would increase the risk that the retreat develops into a larger correction toward $1.45 or potentially $1.40-$1.42.</p>
<p>The indicators currently favor caution in the very short term. RSI has cooled below 50, MACD remains negative and CCI is near -100. Bulls therefore need renewed buying pressure rather than simply relying on last week’s rally.</p>

<p>The key difference from last week is that <strong>$1.48-$1.49 has changed from an upside obstacle into a potential support test</strong>. If buyers defend it, XRP could spend the week building another attempt at $1.60-$1.66.</p>
