XRP trades around $1.41 in mid-September 2026 after climbing from summer lows near $1.00. The token has moved through several resistance levels over the past two months.

Analyst Ali Charts pointed to the breakout on X, noting that a sustained close above $1.38 could open the path toward $1.60. The post highlighted XRP’s move through a series of resistance zones following its summer bottom.

A sustained close above $1.38 would confirm the move and could open the door to a rally toward $1.60. https://t.co/TjZOdoK9sopic.twitter.com/JIEemTeSW7

TradingView data shows XRP trading above several major moving averages. The $1.35 to $1.36 zone has become a support area, backed by both the 20-day and 200-day exponential moving averages.

A break below that zone could weaken the recent price structure. A hold above it would keep the breakout setup intact for buyers.

Daily RSI sits at 58.37, down from overbought levels reached during the summer rally. The reading stays above the midline, leaving room for another push higher.

ETF Demand Builds

US spot XRP ETFs have pulled in more than $1.7 billion in net inflows since launching in November 2025. The funds added $18.98 million in the most recent week alone.

Goldman Sachs was once the largest XRP ETF holder, with $153.8 million reported in its Q4 2025 filing, though it has since exited that position. Citadel has built a separate bullish position in XRP ETFs.

Ripple has projected XRP ETFs could bring in $4 billion during their first year. Futures volume hit a six-month high in August, with Binance recording $37 billion in trading during the month.

Utility Versus Price Gap

Asset manager 21Shares released a formal investment case for XRP built on four pillars. These are regulatory clarity, institutional access, measurable utility, and fixed supply.

The regulatory pillar closed in August 2025 when Ripple’s four-year case with the SEC ended. That removed a barrier that had kept many regulated funds away from the token.

The XRP Ledger settled close to $500 billion in on-chain value over the past 12 months, according to 21Shares. Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin has grown from $72 million to about $1.6 billion since launch.

Tokenized real-world assets on the XRP Ledger now stand near $4 billion. JPMorgan and Ondo completed a cross-border tokenized treasury settlement on the ledger, and Mastercard launched 24/7 settlement using RLUSD.

XRP has a fixed supply cap of 100 billion tokens, all created at genesis. More than 14 million XRP have been burned through transaction fees, while escrow releases add to circulating supply on a public schedule.

21Shares flagged a risk in its report: institutions can settle on the XRP Ledger without holding XRP for long periods. That means ledger activity can grow while demand for the token itself lags behind.

RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger has already overtaken Ethereum’s stablecoin supply. XRP has stayed in the $1.35 to $1.45 range through mid-September 2026, below its 2025 high.
