A large wallet has just added to its position in a big way, and the price is sitting right at the line that could either launch the next leg up or send it tumbling. Here is the full picture.

Hyperliquid Price Today: Live Data and 24-Hour Change

HYPE is currently trading around $84.184, down 2.22% over the last 24 hours after losing close to $1.91 from its previous level.
Futures volume over the past day stands at $2.88 billion, dwarfing the $207.88 million in spot volume, which tells you this move is being driven mostly by leveraged traders rather than spot buyers right now.
Open interest sits at $3.24 billion against a market cap of $21.23 billion.
Circulating supply matches total supply at 251.84 million HYPE against a max supply of 951.84 million, meaning the bulk of HYPE's eventual supply has not entered circulation yet, something worth keeping in mind for anyone building a longer-term Hyperliquid price outlook.

Hyperliquid News: Whale Accumulation Keeps Growing

In Hyperliquid latest news, on-chain tracker Lookonchain flagged that whale wallet 0x8e48 bought another 116,427 HYPE worth roughly $9.91 million just six hours ago.
What makes this stand out is not just the single purchase but the pattern behind it.
Over the past eight months, this same whale has accumulated a total of 1.89 million HYPE worth around $159 million, routing the buys through Galaxy Digital and staking every bit of it rather than flipping for short-term gains.
That kind of conviction is buying, especially through an institutional OTC desk and paired with staking rather than selling, and tends to catch the attention of anyone doing serious Hyperliquid trend analysis, since it signals a long-term thesis rather than a quick trade.

Quick Take

CMP: $84.240 (chart-marked live price)

4-hour trigger level: break and close above $89.720 opens the door toward the 100 psychological level

Failure level: break and close below $81.516 flips the near-term structure bearish

Data and chart timestamp: September 10, 2026, 4-hour Binance perpetual chart

Risk note: HYPE has tested this trendline multiple times already, so a confirmed close is needed before either scenario is treated as active, not just an intraday poke through the line

Hyperliquid Technical Forecast September 2026

On the 4-hour Binance perpetual chart, HYPE has been climbing along a steady ascending trendline, and this is not its first rodeo with that line.
Price has come back down to retest it four separate times now, and each time buyers have stepped back in before any real damage was done.
That kind of repeated defense usually says more about underlying demand than a single bounce ever could, and it is exactly why this Hyperliquid price prediction leans constructive for now.
Right above the current price sits resistance at $89.720; a level HYPE needs to close above on the 4-hour chart to really shift momentum in its favor.
A confirmed close above that mark, roughly 6.5% higher than where HYPE sits today, would put the coin on a direct path toward the 100 level, a psychological round number that tends to act as a magnet once the price gets close enough to smell it.
That works out to almost a 19% upside from current levels, and given how the trendline has held up so far, a push toward that zone would not be surprising if buyers stay engaged the way the whale accumulation data suggests they might.
On the other side of the coin, this same ascending trendline is the level that matters most for anyone doing HYPE technical analysis right now.
Support sits at $81.516, and a 4-hour close below that would represent a break from the very structure that has kept HYPE afloat through this entire climb.
That is only about 3.2% below the current price, so this is not a distant line; it is close enough that a rough day in the broader market could test it without much warning.
If that support gives way, the next real floor to watch sits at $78.566, close to 6.7% below where HYPE is trading now, and that is the level where buyers would need to show up again to keep the bigger picture intact.
For now, HYPE sits in a tight spot between a well-defended trendline below and a meaningful resistance shelf above, with a large accumulating wallet adding some weight to the bullish side of the argument.

Bull, Base, and Bear Case

In the bull case, the ascending trendline keeps holding, HYPE closes above $89.720 on the 4-hour chart, and the coin makes a real run at the 100 level, with the whale's ongoing accumulation adding fuel along the way.
The base case has HYPE grinding between the trendline and $89.720 for a while longer, still respecting support but not yet strong enough to clear resistance, which would keep this Hyperliquid forecast in a holding pattern until one side wins out.
The bear case shows up if the trendline finally cracks and the price closes below $81.516. In that scenario, sellers would likely push toward $78.566 next, and the whale's buying pattern, while notable, would not be enough on its own to hold price up against broader selling pressure.

Risks to This Outlook

Whale accumulation is a bullish signal, but it does not guarantee price direction on its own; large holders have been known to accumulate through drawdowns that continue for weeks before turning around.
Broader Bitcoin sentiment, sudden liquidation cascades in the futures market, and any shift in overall risk appetite could all override this technical setup regardless of how well the trendline has held so far.

Glossary

Ascending trendline: a rising support line connecting a series of higher lows, used to judge whether buyers keep stepping in at progressively higher prices.
OTC desk: an over-the-counter trading venue like Galaxy Digital that allows large buyers to accumulate significant positions without directly moving the open market price.
Open interest: the total value of outstanding futures and perpetual contracts that remain unsettled, often used as a gauge of active leveraged positioning.
Psychological level: a round number, like 100, that traders and algorithms tend to react to even without a specific technical reason behind it.
