Stellar’s XLM faces a pivotal technical decision as its weekly price action tightens, with buyers consistently defending a strong horizontal support while sellers hold firm at a longstanding descending trendline. The price now approaches the apex of a major compression zone, drawing increased attention from analysts and traders.

Crypto analyst The Boss underscored XLM’s current structure, emphasizing that the cryptocurrency sits at a critical technical juncture. XLM continues to build support above its horizontal demand area while repeatedly testing resistance at the prominent descending trendline. This formation has intensified the contest between bulls and bears as the space between major support and resistance narrows.
A confirmed breakout above the long-term trendline has the potential to shift market momentum and may flip that resistance into a new support zone. The analyst highlighted possible upside targets near $0.25, $0.33, and $0.44 if XLM builds sustainable buying pressure, not just a brief move beyond resistance.

XLM’s narrowing structure points to a decisive showdown between buyers and sellers. A sustained breakout above the descending resistance could signal the end of the bearish trend and open a path to higher price regions.

Recent TradingView chart analysis shows XLM recovered from a late August low near $0.1550, rebounding to approximately $0.2200 before sellers reentered. Since then, the asset has consolidated near $0.1876 and is stabilizing around its short-term moving averages.

The ongoing consolidation keeps the potential for further recovery intact. If buyers manage to protect the current level, XLM could mount another attempt at higher resistance zones. A failure to hold support, however, would delay any bullish scenario and likely keep XLM trading within its established range.
According to technical indicators, the short-term momentum remains slightly positive. The RSI stands at 55.81, reflecting growing buying interest without overbought conditions for XLM. The first major ceiling for bulls is the 200-day EMA at $0.18872. A breakout at this price could reinforce the uptrend and put psychological resistance at $0.2000 back in play. Above $0.2000, focus would shift to the $0.2200 level last seen during the rebound.
Despite technical improvement, market engagement appears to be tapering. CoinGlass data shows XLM’s trading volume declined 28.19% to $162.8 million, while open interest dropped 1.44% to $194.21 million. This decrease suggests traders are scaling back leveraged positions and remaining on the sidelines until a clear move emerges.

Network activity and broader market dynamics

For the bullish case, analysts suggest that rising volume during a breakout would help confirm new demand and offer stronger backing for the price move. Without an increase in participation, XLM could struggle to maintain momentum above resistance.
Meanwhile, network activity remains robust. ALLINCRYPTO reported over 11.6 million transactions processed by the Stellar blockchain on Sunday, supporting the strength of its ecosystem.

While the broader crypto space seeks attention, Stellar’s network execution signals ongoing real-world use, with millions of transactions occurring even during price consolidation phases.

Consistently high transaction volumes underscore continued blockchain adoption, even if activity does not immediately translate into upward pressure for the XLM token.
With XLM currently testing the 200-day EMA and monitoring resistance at $0.2000 and $0.2200, traders are closely watching for a breakout to validate bullish momentum. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can spark rapid change, navigating between separate tools for data and charting can cause traders to miss critical moments. As a result, some are turning to privacy-first platforms like CryptoAppsy for a unified interface. These solutions integrate real-time charting, customizable price alerts, coin-specific news, and essential macro data without the need for account registration, streamlining decision-making during fast-moving market shifts.
Should XLM fail to break above key resistance, the token may remain range-bound as traders wait for stronger confirmation of a new trend. For now, the market continues to track both technical signals and underlying network performance as potential catalysts for XLM’s next move.
