The cryptocurrency market is entering another period of close observation as investors assess whether the next stage of the market cycle is beginning to unfold. Bitcoin has continued to act as the market's primary indicator, but recent attention has gradually shifted toward altcoins following several technical signals across the broader digital asset market. Market participants have pointed to the TOTAL2 index, which measures the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies excluding Bitcoin, after it returned to an area that has historically coincided with major market bottoms.

Previous visits to similar levels were followed by extended recoveries across alternative cryptocurrencies, although analysts continue to note that historical performance cannot guarantee future results. At the same time, growing interest has emerged. Utility-based networks continue expanding decentralized financial infrastructure, while meme-related assets remain highly influenced by market sentiment and liquidity conditions. This combination has become one of the defining themes of the current crypto market, leading many analysts to monitor whether the second half of 2026 could mark the beginning of another broader altcoin expansion.

Avalanche (AVAX) Maintains Focus on Network Performance

Avalanche's high-throughput blockchain design and growing ecosystem of decentralized applications have garnered significant traction. The network has continued to be developed and is seeing institutional interest, keeping it one of the projects being watched in an improving sentiment in the market, analysts have pointed out. Investors remain interested in whether the growth of on-chain activity will help to drive long-term adoption.

SEI Benefits From Trading Infrastructure Growth

SEI remains closely associated with blockchain infrastructure designed for high-speed trading applications. The project has continued expanding its ecosystem while developers focus on improving execution efficiency. Observers believe networks built around financial applications could receive additional attention if trading volumes continue increasing during a broader market recovery.

Ondo (ONDO) Gains Attention Through Real-World Assets

Ondo has remained part of discussions surrounding tokenized real-world assets, a sector that has continued growing throughout 2026. Analysts have reported increasing institutional interest in bringing traditional financial products onto blockchain networks, placing projects connected to this trend under closer observation.

Chainlink (LINK) Remains a Core Blockchain Infrastructure Project

Chainlink continues serving as one of the leading decentralized oracle networks within the cryptocurrency industry. Its technology supports data delivery between blockchain networks and external systems, making it an important infrastructure provider across decentralized finance and tokenized asset platforms. Analysts continue monitoring LINK as blockchain adoption expands.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) Reflects Growing Interest in Decentralized Trading

Hyperliquid has received increased attention as decentralized perpetual trading platforms continue gaining market share. The protocol's growth has coincided with rising interest in decentralized trading solutions, making HYPE one of the assets frequently discussed by traders following exchange-related blockchain developments.

Market Watches for the Next Phase

Market analysts are continuing to stress that Bitcoin typically dictates the trend of the entire crypto market, with capital gradually shifting to other digital currencies. As utility blockchain networks keep developing technology, meme-focused assets are still very much driven by investor sentiment and liquidity. These trends have influenced the expectations for Altseason 2026, but analysts note that market conditions continue to rely on macroeconomic factors, the flow of liquidity, and investor sentiment.
