The TOTAL2 accumulation phase has lasted more than 18 months, making it longer than similar periods seen before the 2016 and 2020 altcoin rallies.

SUI, SOL, ENA, QUBIC, TURBO, and SEI are attracting attention as investors monitor signs of a broader shift toward altcoins.

Analysts continue to watch capital rotation trends, liquidity conditions, and market sentiment for indications that a larger altcoin cycle could develop.

Analysts have been digging deeper into TOTAL2 data—spanning the market cap of all cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin—setting the stage for further discussion about the next steps in the cryptocurrency market. As noted by a number of market observers, the period of accumulation has been much longer than the consolidation periods that have led to significant rallies in the major cryptocurrencies in 2016 and 2020, which have been just over 18 months. Bitcoin has been the main attraction for the majority of this bull market, but as investors consider moving their funds to other parts of the market, they are now starting to turn their gaze to other cryptocurrencies.

As a result of the long consolidation, rumors have been swirling of a further bull market for cryptocurrencies. While the market is unpredictable, some traders have found that the best returns may come after extended periods of buying, as history suggests. This led to some projects in various segments of the crypto industry attracting more attention from market participants for indications of momentum.

Layer-1 Networks Continue to Attract Market Interest

SUI, SEI, and Solana, three blockchains aimed at enhancing scalability and transaction efficiency, are among the projects gaining more recognition. SUI has diversified in areas such as decentralized finance, gaming, and infrastructure. The network architecture was designed to accommodate high transaction volumes and to maintain good performance as the network loads up.

Solana remains one of the largest blockchain ecosystems in the industry. The network supports a broad range of decentralized applications, including payment platforms, digital asset marketplaces, and decentralized finance protocols. Its established presence within the market has helped maintain investor interest despite changing market conditions.

SEI has also emerged as a project closely monitored by traders. Unlike many general-purpose blockchains, SEI was developed with trading applications in mind. Its infrastructure focuses on transaction speed and efficient order execution, making it a notable participant in the growing blockchain trading sector.

DeFi and Emerging Technology Projects Gain Visibility

Outside the Layer-1 sector, Ethena's ENA token has attracted attention as decentralized finance activity continues to evolve. The project focuses on synthetic dollar infrastructure and blockchain-based financial products. As stablecoin and yield-generating protocols remain important parts of the digital asset ecosystem, Ethena has become one of the projects frequently discussed by market participants.

QUBIC represents another segment of the market attracting attention. The project combines decentralized computing infrastructure with artificial intelligence-related technology. Growing interest in AI applications has increased visibility for blockchain projects exploring ways to provide computing resources through distributed networks.

Meanwhile, TURBO continues to stand out within the meme coin category. The project gained recognition because of its AI-assisted origins and has maintained visibility through strong community participation. Although meme coins remain among the most speculative areas of the cryptocurrency market, they often attract significant trading activity during periods of heightened investor interest.

Whether a full-scale altcoin season develops remains uncertain. However, the prolonged accumulation phase observed across the market continues to be a central talking point among analysts. As investors monitor liquidity trends, capital flows, and market sentiment, projects such as SUI, SOL, ENA, QUBIC, TURBO, and SEI are expected to remain on watchlists as the cryptocurrency market moves through its next stage.
