InterLink Labs has officially released Version 4.0.5 of its mobile app, adding an in-app News page and a Connect Social feature that lets users link and verify their social media accounts. The update is live now on both Google Play and the Apple App Store and marks the final release in the 4.x series before the project moves into its next major phase with Version 5.0.

Two main features stand out in this release.
The first is a dedicated News page built directly into the app. This gives users a real-time feed of official ecosystem updates, including announcements such as the upcoming InterLink Visa Card, without having to scroll through X or Telegram to stay in the loop. It is a small but practical quality-of-life improvement that keeps users inside the app.
The second is Connect Social, which allows users to link and verify their Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok accounts from within the app. This is not just a vanity feature. InterLink has confirmed that linked social accounts will play a major role in the upcoming Verified ITLG phase, in which active and verified users receive priority during the token claim and migration process.
The team has also encouraged users to link not just personal accounts but any high-follower or InterLink-related accounts they manage.

Why Does This Update Matter?

On the surface, a News feed and social linking might look incremental. But the context here is what gives it weight.
Version 4.0.5 is the final chapter of the 4.x series. Everything that InterLink has built across the 4.x cycle has been laying groundwork for what comes next, and that next step is Version 5.0.
Version 5.0 is expected to bring major infrastructure upgrades, verified token logic and migration, listings on centralized exchanges, expanded payment utilities, and early-stage experiments with real-world assets and universal basic income models. The InterLink Foundation announcement is also expected before the end of March 2026, which will include board members, a Foundation whitepaper, and a detailed five-year strategic vision.
By having users connect their social accounts now, InterLink is building a cleaner dataset of real, active participants before the token verification process kicks in. That matters for a project built entirely around Proof of Personhood.

What Is InterLink?

For those unfamiliar, InterLink Labs is building a human-centric blockchain network based on Proof of Personhood. Users create a unique InterLink ID through a biometric face scan with liveness detection, which is designed to be sybil-resistant, meaning one person equals one account.
Once verified, users become "Human Nodes" and can mine the $ITLG participation and governance token for free through daily app activity on a roughly four-hour cycle. Verified $ITLG holders unlock full utility access, including DAO governance, staking for the $ITL payment token, reduced fees, and payment points.
The app itself functions as an all-in-one super app with a built-in wallet, mini-apps spanning games, social, finance, and AI tools, plus peer-to-peer payments. The project claims over 5 million downloads, and between 4 and 6.5 million users, with a long-term goal of onboarding one billion verified humans on-chain.

What Comes Next?

With the 4.x series now wrapped up, all eyes are on Version 5.0 and the InterLink Foundation reveal. The 2026 roadmap includes CEX listings, developer community growth, InterLink Card expansion, and adoption targets across 180 countries.
For users who have been mining daily and building their profiles, now is the time to make sure everything is linked and verified before the next wave hits.
